Your support this Easter is vital in enabling Palms to provide skilled Australians requested by our partner organisations, to help build the capacities of their people and create a just and sustainable future free from poverty.

Not everyone is in a position to take up a Palms placement, so once again we are offering supporters the chance to see first-hand the positive impacts of Palms’ work, and have your own life-changing cross-cultural experience.

As part of the Easter Raffle, we are giving away a place on one of our Palms Encounters  – our exclusive small group tours.

First Prize: A 12-13 day Palms Encounter Tour of your choice (valued at $6,000)
Select from any of our tours scheduled within two years from the resumption of international travel from Australia to our Encounter destinations. Return Airfares, overseas travel, meals and accommodation included.


A 12-13 day guided tour of your chosen location, visiting local development projects and gaining local insights into the cultural and social life of some of the country’s remote villages

Second Prize: Traditional Artefacts from Papua New Guinea (valued at $600)

The three artefacts include:

1. A Jaw Harp – an intricately carved musical instrument traditionally played by numerous ethnic groups when they court a bride.

2. A Hand Fan woven from pandanus grass and

3. A Mask – carved from light wood measuring 35cm in length traditionally used to ward off evil spirits.

Third Prize: An original painting of a Pacific scene (valued at $400)

Kethel enjoys painting inspiring landscapes from his studio in Port Stephens that he is happy to donate to a good cause. He is currently painting a coastal scene from Atauro Island off Timor Leste.

Raffle closes at 3pm Thursday 14 April 2022. Winners will be drawn Thursday 14 April 2022. Winners will be contacted via email and phone and results will be published on palms.org.au and on the Palms Australia Facebook page on Tuesday 19 April 2022. First prize includes return flights from your nearest airport to chosen destination and a 12-13 day Encounter package. Prize is valid for any Encounter within 2 years of international travel from Australia resuming. Standard Encounter booking conditions apply. Not redeemable for cash.

Winners will have until Wednesday 18 May 2022 to claim their prize. In the event we are unable to contact the person listed on the first drawn ticket, the prize will be redrawn on Thursday, 19 May 2022.
