13 APR SAY ‘YES TO RESPECTFUL RELATIONSHIPS’ POSTER COMPETITION.

How art is helping students say yes to respectful behaviours in relationships and no to unhealthy ones.

Applications are now open for schools and students to enter Interrelate’s ‘Say Yes To Respectful Relationships’ poster competition.

The annual art competition invites primary aged students to design a poster depicting the 2022 theme: ‘Respectful relationships start with you’.

The competition is designed to help students embrace respectful relationships and identify healthy and unhealthy behaviours.

This year’s theme is all about building and nurturing respect with ourselves and how it can impact our relationships with others.
Prizes to be won

Great prizes are on offer including a holiday to Wollongong Surf Leisure Resort, Faber-Castell gift packs and Interrelate’s Questions Kids Have book series.

Special category for non-school entries
This year, families and teachers can also enter the competition through the Special Category. This means anyone can enter – using any medium (not restricted to posters). We recognise both families and schools play an important role in children’s relationship development, which is why the Special Category has been added to facilitate these vital conversations in both settings. All special category entries will have the chance to win $250 worth of gift cards.

Interrelate’s poster competition is supported by The Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales, The Honourable Sarah Mitchell, Minister for Education and Childhood Learning and Interrelate’s partners Faber-Castell and Wollongong Surf Leisure Resort.

As a family and relationship support service, Interrelate believes teaching children to identify respectful relationship behaviours early, empowers them to have a greater awareness of themselves and others. This leads to healthier relationships and helps children to recognise when they or their peers may need support and how to seek it.

Entries close on Friday 13th May and a virtual Awards Ceremony will be held on Friday 22 July 2022. To register for a lesson plan or submit your entries, visit: Interlate’s Poster Competition
