Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. By participating, you agree to be bound by and comply with these Terms and Conditions. Promoter: The promoter is Intrepid Travel Pty Ltd (ABN 35 007 172 456) of Level 7, 567 Collins Street, Melbourne (Promoter).;

Competition Period: The Competition commences at [12:01am] [AEST] on 20 August 2022 and ends at 2 September on [11:59pm] [AEST] (Competition Period). No entry details submitted after this time will be valid.

Entry Eligibility: The competition entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or older and excludes employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary company and their immediate families, anyone connected professionally with the prize draw, or any person where entering this competition breaches any law or regulation of the jurisdiction in which they are resident. In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. Only one entry per person will be available (Eligible Entrant).

Entry Instructions: To enter, individuals must complete the following entry mechanics during the Competition Period:

Write in 25 words or fewer why you want to visit Antarctica with Intrepid on the prize form and submit your first and last name, country of residence, state of residence and email.
Signing up to communication from Intrepid Travel is a required step for valid competition entry.

Individuals will be provided with an option to subscribe to receive the WWF-Australia communications.

Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid. Entries automatically generated by computer, completed by third parties in bulk, or that have been altered, reconstructed or tampered with will be rejected. Entrants may only enter the competition once per email address.

Prize: The prize winner will receive:

A two-person trip on the 01 March 2023 departure of the WWF Giants of Antarctica (Ocean Endeavour) voyage in a Category 6 (Comfort Twin) cabin;
Return flights for two from the prize winner’s closest Australian capital city;
Accommodation for two for the night prior to the trip and the night immediately after the trip concludes if necessary; (together, the Prize).
Not included in the Prize: travel insurance, visa costs, any additional meals, drinks, activities, or accommodation not included in the itinerary.

The prize is valued at a total of AUD $52,690. Prize value is based on 2 berths on the 01 March 2023 WWF Giants of Antarctica tour departure in a Category 6 (Comfort Twin) cabin and return economy airfares for 2 people including all airline taxes and government charges, departing from Melbourne or Perth to Ushuaia in AUD as quoted on 10 August 2022. The prize value may fluctuate based on available airfares at time of booking, which airport the winner is travelling from and/or whether one night's accommodation is required both pre- and post-voyage departure.

All travel is subject to the Intrepid Booking Conditions.

The winner will be required to agree to the current Booking Conditions at the time of booking including any applicable policies or waivers that are in place at the time.

The Prize is strictly non-transferable to another person, departure, trip or redeemable for cash. If the winner cannot depart on the 01 March 2023 trip their Prize will be forfeited.

The Prize must be fully booked/redeemed by 15 October 2022 and travel must have commenced by 27 February 2023.

The Prize is subject to availability at time of booking. A minimum of 4 travellers must be confirmed on the Intrepid trip for the prize winner booking to be confirmed on their requested date. The Promoter reserves the right to replace the Prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter's control makes it necessary to do so.

The winner is responsible for ensuring that they have valid passports, and any required visas, vaccinations, travel insurance and other travel documentation. From 1 May 2021, the Promoter introduced new vaccination and testing requirements that apply to all of our trips. This policy may be subject to change prior to your trip. All travellers are required to produce either proof of COVID-19 vaccination or if you are unable to be vaccinated for medical reasons, you may apply for an exemption. Exemptions will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. To apply, you must provide a medical certificate from a medical professional. Children under 18 are exempt. Children aged between 5 and 17 years old must provide proof of either vaccination, recovery or a negative COVID-19 test.

There will be 1 winner determined in respect of this promotion.

Prize Draw Date: The draw will take place at [12:00pm] [AEST] on [5 September 2022] at [Level 7, 567 Collins Street, Melbourne, 3000] (Prize Draw Date).

The winner will be notified in writing by email submitted at the time of entry.

The Promoter will make reasonable efforts to identify and locate the Prize Winner. At the conclusion of 14 days, if no response is received by the Promoter, we will deem the prize as unclaimed and an unclaimed Prize draw will be held on Wednesday, 21 September 2022. The Prize Winner from the redraw will be notified by email and similarly given 14 days to claim the prize. If by 5 October 2022 the prize is still unclaimed, this prize will be forfeited.

Collection and use of your personal information: Personal Information including the Eligible Entrant’s name, address, telephone number and email will be collected and used for the purpose of conducting this Competition. This may require disclosure to third parties, including the Promoter’s agents or third-party service providers, for the purpose of conducting the Competition. Please see the Promoter’s privacy policy and collection notice for this Competition for more information about how we use your personal information specifically in relation to how we may share your personal information with WWF.

Jurisdiction: The promotion shall be governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

General: The Promoter and its affiliates reserve the right to amend or withdraw the prize draw and any of the prizes in the event of any unforeseen circumstances outside their reasonable control. Prizes are subject to availability. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute alternative prizes of equivalent or greater value.

Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the Prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
