Title: Win 1/15 “The 12 Days of Christmas Island” books - Sunday Telegraph - NSW
Post by: culturebird on Sunday 04 December 2022, 06:59:47 am
DO you like to sing festive songs like The 12 Days Of Christmas? Well, here comes an Aussie take on it, a new picture book called The Twelve Days Of Christmas Island by Teresa Lagrange.

It celebrates the unique and wildly beautiful birdlife that inhabits Christmas Island, with lines like: “On the first day of Christmas, the Island gave to me, an owl in a lilly pilly tree.”

Australia’s Christmas Island is home to hundreds of species of birds, native plants and wildlife, many of which are not found anywhere else in the world.

In this version of the much-loved Christmas song you can also discover the unique birds that live on this wild and remote island – from the bright-red plumage of the frigatebird to the iridescent green of the emerald dove. To celebrate its release through Allen & Unwin, we have 15 copies to give away.

To enter, colour in the picture then ask your parents or carer to take a photo and email it to funday@sundaytelegraph.com.au.

Please put “12 Days Of Christmas Island” in the subject line and fill in the coupon with your details so we can contact you if you are a winner.

It is also helpful to add your details at the top of the email as sometimes Harry finds it tricky to read handwriting.

Entries must be in by Thursday so the winners can be published on the Health Hacker page in next week’s Sunday Telegraph.

Harry the Dog and the Funday team will only pick the best 15 entries to win the books, so get creative.
