It's time! Entries are now open for the National Photographic Portrait Prize 2023. One of our most popular annual events, the prize promotes the best in contemporary photographic portraiture by both professional and aspiring Australian photographers. Entries close at 9:00am (AEDT) on Tuesday 31 January 2023. Enter now! Finalists will be announced around March, and the winner will be selected when the exhibition opens in June 2023. All finalists will be exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery from 17 June to 1 October 2023! Please make sure you read all the Terms & Conditions and frequently asked questions before you start. We don't want you to be inadvertently disqualified after scrolling through enthusiastically and missing an important part. PRIZES The winner will nab a $30,000 cash prize from us AND photographic equipment courtesy of our Imaging Partner, Canon Australia. There are a raft of other prizes too, including Highly Commended supported by EIZO and an Art Handlers' Award thanks to IAS Fine Art Logistics.
