The Promoter reserves the right to tease the promotion prior to the competition start date. 7. Competition Period Close Date & Time Competition concludes Friday 31st March at 6.00PM (AEDT), or whenever the prize has been awarded. The Promoter reserves the right to: (i) amend the contesting period at its absolute discretion including to close the competition within the Competition Period; (ii) terminate the competition subject to any direction from a regulatory authority. 8. Entry Restrictions a) Entrants must be 18 years of age or over at the time of entry. b) Promotions are not open to any person, including Australian residents, entering the competition from outside of Australia. c) Entrants acknowledge that they must be contactable by the Promoter in order to be successful. How to enter Phone entry for an on-air activity: At various times during the Competition Period (and in some cases prior to the competition start date): (a) The Promoter will solicit on 9414 1043 for callers to participate in GOLD104.3’s $50,000 Treasure Hunt during a specified time period. Listeners may also be invited via Station on-air commercials; announcer solicits or via social media to take part in the competition. (b) During each contesting hour one or more entrants who successfully call 9414 1043 and meet the entry restrictions, will be selected by the Promoter (in its absolute discretion), to take part in GOLD104.3’s $50,000 Treasure Hunt. (c) The Promoter will select the callers at its discretion. (d) A person that is put to air, or determined as an on-air prize winner cannot pass the telephone call on to anyone else, and should this occur, any person that is on-air or has been passed the phone in this capacity will not be eligible for a prize, at the discretion of the Promoter. (e) If the Promoter is unable to contact eligible Contestants within the time period specified, they will forfeit their entry which will be replaced by another chosen entrant. For example, If the Contestant’s phone line drops out, they are inaudible or they are unreachable for any reason (including 3 Syd_Docs LEGALADMIN 4133398 v3 without limitation any technical or operator error), the Promoter may (in its sole and absolute discretion) select another Contestant and so on until someone is awarded the prize on-air, at the absolute discretion of the Promoter. (f) Entrants may be required to go through an eligibility checklist off air (at the absolute discretion of the Promoter) as noted in the entry restrictions. If the entrant who successfully calls does not meet the eligibility requirements they will be not be able to participate. (g) At any time during contesting the announcer(s) may give the entrant additional challenges or bribes. (h) Rules will be stipulated on-air by the Promoter, at its absolute discretion. (i) The opening and closing time for calls to be received will be at the absolute discretion of the Promoter. (j) The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. (k) The Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to refrain from broadcasting any call. 10. Limitation on entries Entrants may enter the competition as many times as they wish, however Entrants may only win one (1) major prize each. 11. Challenge Details (a) Entrants who are successfully selected by the promoter will get to participate in GOLD104.3’s $50,000 Treasure Hunt (b) The Entrant will be given the opportunity to ask one (1) question, if they get a “yes” from the Promoter they can ask another question, this can continue until they get a “no”. (c) If the Entrant asks a question that is unclear to the Promoter, and a “yes” or a “no” cannot be given, the Promoter reserves the right to ask the Entrant to reword their question or provide more detail, this is at the absolute discretion of the Promoter. (d) If the entrant gets a “no” they can no longer ask another question and their contesting spot ends. (e) The Promoter also reserves the right to end a contesting spot at their absolute discretion. (f) If the Promoter provides a “no” on air, but a “yes” should have been given, the Promoter reserves the right to recall 4 Syd_Docs LEGALADMIN 4133398 v3 the Entrant who was given the incorrect “no”. This is at the absolute discretion of the Promoter. (g) The Entrant who correctly guesses the exact location as determined by the Promoter wins one (1) major prize. (h) Once a location is guessed correctly, the Promoter will move to the next location. This will continue until all major prizes have been won and allocated. (i) The promoter reserves the right to take more than one (1) caller per contesting spot. (j) The promoter may distribute clues throughout the day at their discretion. (k) Clues may be updated throughout the competition period and distributed via the following (but not limited to), online at gold1043.com.au, on GOLD104.3’s social media pages and on-air. The promoter reserves the right to provide clues via other media outlets including iHeartRadio. (l) Entrants will be required to adhere to competition rules and regulations as specified by the Promoter prior to the challenge commencement. Rules may or may not be stipulated on air by the Promoter, at their absolute discretion. (m) The Promoter, at their absolute discretion, reserves the right to introduce additional challenges and/or vary up the rules, as stipulated on air. For example, at any time during the challenge the announcer may give the entrant additional challenges or bribes. Examples including, but not limited to: A bonus round/double or nothing. (n) Should the Entrant refuse or fail to satisfactorily complete the challenge within the time specified, they will forgo any prize and the Station will not be required to conduct the challenge again. (o) The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into 12.
