Title: Don't Know Where to Post
Post by: jaymcdee on Wednesday 02 May 2007, 03:53:49 pm
I have noticed that a few people who are unsure of where to post a competition or dont know the end date are still posting in the Web Competitions.

If you have ANY doubts about your posting even if its not a competition please put it in the:-

I'm Lost! - I don't know where to post!

The Mods keep a close watch on that site for just that purpose and will fix it up quickly.  Its easier for them to do it from there than to find it in the regular sites as they have to troll through all the postings to find the one or two that are lost.

Now I usually put my foot in my mouth so before anyone gets upset I have noticed this over a period of time and its no one person in particular and it is also rare.  In fact I am sure I do it myself sometime.

Dont stop putting in the comps though ooh and the answers for me as I'm a little slow

The only trouble with this is that quite a few people mean to put the closing date in, but forget to, then it's too late.  I get pm's all the time from members who have posted a comp but used the wrong link to post (ie. the 'New Topic' button instead of the 'Post a Competition' button), and then realised their mistake.

In theory though, for people who aren't sure before they post, it's a good idea. :)
