Twenty-one years ago, Massive Attack pretty much created trip-hop when they released Blue Lines: a cocktail of breakbeats, live instrumentation, hip-hop, soul and dub that sounded like nothing that had ever been made before.

Or look at it this way: so much did it change the landscape that these days hip-hop is sampling them.

Now EMI have put together a fully remastered version of the seminal electronic album. Working from the tapes originally used by the band  in 1991, the re-issue includes a CD, an ultra-high quality audio DVD and two heavy slabs of vinyl, available separately or all slotted together in a cosy box set.
