Win! Your kids could meet their Aussie cricket heroes

LEADER has joined the MILO team and Cricket Australia to give young fans a once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet their sporting heroes.

Fifty lucky parents will be selected to nominate two children between the ages of 5-12 to attend an exclusive MILO in2CRICKET Skills Clinic at the MCG on Christmas Eve.

Cricket legend Michael Clarke and other members of the Australian team will be on hand to offer tips and tricks.

The youngsters nominated to attend will also be kitted out with a shirt and hat on the day. And they'll have the chance to watch the Australian team in training and meet players for photos and autographs.

Plus the same 50 winners will also receive four tickets to the Vodafone Test Series Match, Day 3, Australia VS Sri Lanka in Melbourne on Friday, December 28.

The MILO brand has a strong heritage in supporting Australian cricket, having partnered with Cricket Australia for the past 20 years.

Thanks to junior development programs, such as MILO in2CRICKET and MILO T20 Blast, more than 500,000 children have been introduced to the game.

Kais Marzouki, business executive manager of Nestlé Beverages, said the partnership was an example of the brand’s long-standing commitment to promoting active lifestyles for children.

“Together with milk, MILO is a nutrient rich drink for active kids and a great complement for outdoor sports like cricket,” said Mr Marzouki.

To enter, write your full name, postal address, email address and daytime telephone number in the form below, and tell us in no more than 25 words why cricket is a favourite in your house (and nominate two children aged between 5-12 who would attend the cricket skills clinic if you won).  Then type in the verification code and press submit.  Entrants must be the parent or guardian of a child aged 5-12 years and reside within the Knox, Frankston Standard/Hastings, Waverley/Oakleigh Monash, Brimbank, Moreland, Whitehorse, Whittlesea and Mornington Peninsula Leader newspaper distribution areas. See Terms & Conditions for full details. Entries close 9am AEDST on December 10, 2012.
