ITEM 5: PROMOTION REGISTRATION DATES AND TIMES
Registrations will open at 9:00am (AEDST) on Monday 15 October 2012 and will close at 12noon (AEDST) on Thursday 1 November 2012.
(“Registration Period”).
The Promoter reserves the right to amend the Registration Period at its sole discretion.
ITEM 6: PROMOTION CONTESTING DATES AND TIMES
Contesting may occur between 7.30pm (AEDST) and 10:30pm (AEDST) from Monday 22 October 2012 until Friday 2 November 2012.
(“Promotional Period”).
An individual day during the Promotional Period is known as a “Contesting Day”. The Promoter reserves the right to amend the Promotional Period at its sole discretion.
ITEM 7: ENTRANT RESTRICTIONS
Entry is available to listeners of participating stations and permanent residents of:
- NSW;
- Victoria;
- Queensland;
- South Australia;
- Western Australia;
- ACT;
- TAS.
Entrants into this competition must be aged twenty-one (21) years or over.
USA Entry Conditions:
The Prize Winner and their travel companion must have a current passport, valid for a period of six (6) months past their expected stay in the USA.
The passport must be machine-readable (e-passport). It is the responsibility of the Prize Winner and their accompanying guest to contact the Australian Passport Office to verify the status of their passport should they have any
doubts. Winner and companion will be responsible for arranging and paying for their own passport.
It is the responsibility of the Prize Winner and their travel companion to complete the Electronic System for Travel Authorization, under the Visa Waiver Program.
If there is a cost associated with this, it will be the responsibility of the winner and their guest to cover.
The Promoter takes no responsibility should the Prize Winner and/or their travel companion be denied a Travel Authorisation by the United States Consulate; and must forfeit their prize as a result. Noting a criminal record may affect this.
ITEM 8: METHOD OF ENTRY

ITEM 9: JUDGING DETAILS
Judging will take place at 2DayFM, level 15 50 Goulburn Street Sydney NSW 2000.
Across the Promotional Period as needed the Hot30 will judge the entries that meet the judging criteria and choose a selection of the most entertaining, original, creative humorous and suitable entrants who will be deemed as Finalists.
During the Promotional Period, The Hot30 team may call Finalists on any one day between 12:00 noon and 10:30pm (AEDST).
The Competition will take place as follows:
Each night between Monday 22 October 2012 to Thursday 1 November 2012, the Finalists judged to have the most entertaining, original, creative, humorous and suitable entry will be called by the Hot30 Countdown.
Finalists will then be called onair in the order of the most entertaining, original, creative, humorous and suitable entry and asked to listen to a section of a Katy Perry song. Part of the song will be missing and the Finalist must correctly identify the missing line/s from the song.
If the Finalist correctly identifies the missing line/s of the song, they will win a minor prize and go on the standby list to win the Major Prize.
If the finalist cannot correctly identify the line/s from the song, they will not win a prize and the Hot30 will go to the next most entertaining, original, creative, humorous and suitable entry and they will be asked to identify the same missing line/s from the Katy Perry song.
The Hot30 will continue to speak to Finalists until someone correctly identifies the missing line/s, at their complete discretion. It is at the Hot30s complete discretion as to what the correct line/s is and no correspondence will be entered into. That Finalist will be placed on the stand by list and will be in the running to win the major prize.
On Friday 2 November 2012, the Finalist on the standby list judged by the Promoter, in their discretion to have the most creative, entertaining, original, humorous and suitable entry to the twenty five (25) words or less question, and most suitable from the on air Contesting Segment will be announced the Major Winner.
All decisions are at the discretion of the Promoter and no correspondence will be entered into in this regard.
The Prize Winner will be spoken to, and may be announced on air during the Hot30 Countdown between 7:30pm and 10:30pm (AEDST) from Monday 22 October 2012 to Friday 2 November 2012. This segment may be pre-recorded earlier in the day and played back at the promoters discretion.
Should the contesting segment not be able to run live, the Promoter will pre-record a contest spot with an Finalist. Any caller who is chosen to participate in a pre-recorded contesting segment will be made aware at the time.
All decisions are at the discretion of the Promoter and no correspondence will be entered into. This decision is made at the complete discretion of the Promoter.
Each night the Hot30 Countdown will contact the Finalists and advise them they will be required to participate in an onair contest.

Prize fulfilment will be handled by Free Publicity.
Entrants must be aged twenty-one (21) years and over. Guest travelling with winner must be 21 years or over.
Each holiday prize is valued as part of a pre-determined package. Winners are not able to design their own combination of flights, accommodation, transfers and/or activities within the maximum package values set out in these Terms & Conditions. Rather, the travel agency will work with each Winner to fulfil their prize utilising the available suppliers and date ranges within the existing pre-determined holiday packages, previously arranged in conjunction with the Promoter. The maximum values applied to each holiday prize also includes travel agency fees.
Airlines and hotels may be pre-determined as part of pre-determined holiday packages. Winners will not be able to nominate their own hotel and/or airline preferences. Airline carriers and hotels are to be determined by the Promoter. Airport transfer details at the holiday destination are to be determined by the Promoter.
Should the cost of a Winner’s holiday come in at less than the maximum value listed in Item 11: Prize Details, that Winner will not be provided with any additional goods, services or cash to supplement any remainder of the maximum prize value. Prize values listed in Item 11: Prize Details are indicative maximums only.
It is the responsibility of the Winner and their travelling companion to obtain the necessary travel insurance coverage for their holiday, including covering all associated expenses.

Any additional accommodation costs, including but not limited to meals (other than breakfast), room service, mini bar, phone use and internet use must be covered by the Winner and/or their travel companion.
Prize Winner and their accompanying travel companion must both not have criminal records or outstanding convictions against their name.

It is the Winner’s and travel companion’s own responsibility to ensure they notify the Promoter and/or the travel agency, the airline/s, hotel/s and any other establishments associated with the Promotion and/or the Prize of any allergies or special dietary requirements they have.
It is the responsibility of the Prize Winner and their travelling companions to obtain the necessary vaccinations required for their holiday destination and to cover any associated costs themselves. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any delays, changes or cancellations to flights and/or transfers. In the event of a flight disruption, the Promoter will not be liable should the Winner and/or their travel companion not be able to take part in the prize. The Promoter will not be liable to make good any element of the Prize not fulfilled due to a flight disruption.
Flights are subject to the airline’s conditions of carriage.
