Get in quick and score tickets to a doco of your choice...
If you’re after a festival program that reflects what’s happening in the world today – while challenging, enlightening and entertaining audiences in the process – one can’t go past Sydney’s Antenna International Documentary Festival, which rolls out in Sydney over five days from October 10 to 14.
Danish director Mads Brugger’s The Ambassador (pictured)– which follows the filmmaker’s dangerous trek into the Central African Republic as he investigates the country’s access to ‘blood’ diamonds – will open festivities with a bang.
Other highlights among the thirty feature documentaries include Werner Herzog’s exploration into death row with Into the Abyss; the controversial Girl Model, which provides stark insight into the fashion industry’s obsession with youth and beauty; Petr Lom’s Back to the Square, a sobering look at Egypt as it stands in the aftermath of the country’s first uprising; and Seung-Jun Yi’s Planet of Snail, which touchingly delves into the life of a disabled South Korean couple.
For your chance to score one of these double passes, simply suss out the program and let us know which doco you’d use the tickets for, and why. To enter, shoot us through an email at
