About the Competition
Cake & Plate are 8 years old this month and as part of our birthday celebrations we're giving you the opportunity to design and win your very own birthday cake! Chocolate or vanilla, with flowers or a gorilla? It's up to you!
Below are the 2 winning cake designs from our competition last year along with some of the cakes we're proud to have designed and made over the years.
To enter just draw the birthday cake of your dreams, then upload a copy of it below along with your details.
Entry is open to Central Coast (NSW) residents aged 5-18 years, and the competition closes at 23:59 on Wednesday 30th June 2021. Other Terms and Conditions apply, please see the panel below for details.
Terms and Conditions for Design your Birthday Cake Competition
The promoter is Cake & Plate (ABN 72814228014) whose registered office is at Shop 9/16 Washington Ave, Niagara Park, NSW 2250.
The competition is open to residents of the Central Coast NSW aged 5 to 18 years except employees of Cake & Plate and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
By entering this competition, the entrant is indicating his or her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Entries can be made using the paper entry form available from our Facebook page or in-store, or via the Competition page on our website.
Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
Closing date for entry will be 23:59 on Wednesday 30th June 2021. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:
Design and draw your dream birthday cake, either on the entry form from our Facebook page or collected in-store, or on your own piece of paper.
Complete your details including an email address and telephone number for your parent or guardian.
Upload your artwork via the Competition page (here!) on our website or bring it in to the Cake & Plate store.
The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
The prize is as follows: A cake in the design of the winner’s drawing valued to a maximum of $250.
The winner will be chosen via a vote made by the staff at Cake & Plate.
The winner will be notified by email and Facebook within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or they do not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
The promoter will discuss with the winner when and where the prize can be collected during July 2021 - June 2022.
The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his or her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Australian law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
The winner agrees to the use of his or her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current Australia data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
The winner’s name will be available 28 days after closing date by emailing the following address:
