TERMS & CONDITIONS
The following terms and conditions (Terms and Conditions) apply for your chance to win the rewards on offer (the Promotion). By submitting an entry into the Promotion, the entrant warrants that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
The promoter of the Promotion is Cover Syndicate Pty Ltd (QBD Books) ABN: 54 614 038 765 whose premises are at 30 Enterprise Street, Richlands QLD 4077 (Promoter).
The Promotion is administered by TLC Marketing Worldwide Australia & NZ Pty Ltd, ABN 75 622 802 180, Ground Floor, 320 Pitt Street, Sydney NSW, 2000, Australia ("TLC"). All correspondence regarding this Promotion should be directed to this address.
The Promotion commences at 12.01am AEDT 1 April 2022 and concludes at 11.59pm AEST 27 May 2022 (Promotional Period). Entries are deemed received at the time of receipt by the Promoter in its promotional database and not at the time of transmission by the entrant.
Key Dates:
The Promotion is open for Qualifying Purchases (defined below) made between 12.01 am AEDT on 1 April 2022 and 11.59 pm AEST on 27 May 2022 ("Purchase Period"), or while stocks last.
Registration is open between 12.01 am AEDT on 1 April 2022 and 11.59 pm AEST on 10 June 2022 ("Registration Period").
All Reward Access Codes will be valid for 6 months upon issue or by 10 December 2022, whichever is sooner. ("Redemption Period").
When a reward voucher is redeemed (except the $20 QBD Books Voucher), it will be valid for *48 hours upon issue or by 12 December 2022, whichever is sooner.
*All $20 QBD Books Vouchers will be valid until 31st December 2022*
The Promoter and TLC reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including any entrant's identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that the Promoter and TLC, in its sole discretion, deems to be offensive, inappropriate, defamatory or otherwise not in keeping with the spirit of the Promotion.
Errors and omissions may be accepted at the discretion of the Promoter and TLC. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. Incomplete, indecipherable, or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.
A person may enter the Promotion as many times as they like as long as they enter a different Unique Code each time.
How To Enter
To enter, customers must purchase $40 or above in a single transaction in any of the 85 participating QBD Books stores across Australia or online at
www.qbd.com.au. The customer needs to retain the Unique Code printed on the receipt or order confirmation for registration purposes.
Customers must then register their Unique Code via the promotional website
www.qbdbookspendandwin.com.au within 14 days from the date of purchase or by 10 June 2022, whichever occurs sooner.
The only persons who may enter and be awarded rewards are Australian residents and who are over the age of 14 and are not employees of the Promoter or TLC or the immediate family of employees. "Immediate family" means spouse, parent, child or sibling, whether or not they live in the same household as the employee. (Eligible Entrant).
Registration will only be valid if the fields within the advertised promotional website are completed in full, and the entry is deemed as received by TLC prior to the conclusion date as detailed above under Key Dates.
Once an Eligible Entrant’s registration has been successfully submitted, the customer’s randomly allocated reward will be revealed, followed by email notification of the Reward Access Code needed to redeem their reward. All Reward Access Codes are valid for 6 months from the date of issue
How to Redeem a Prize
When ready to redeem their reward, customers simply return to the promotional website
www.qbdbookspendandwin.com.au and complete the redemption form to redeem a Reward Voucher. A Reward Voucher will then be emailed and is valid for use within *48 hours from the date of issue except the $20 QBD Books voucher.
*All $20 QBD Books Vouchers will be valid until 31st December 2022*
Redemption will only be valid if the fields within the advertised promotional website are completed in full, and the redemption is deemed as received by TLC prior to the conclusion date as detailed above under Key Dates.
One (1) of six (6) randomly allocated Reward Vouchers will then be revealed to the Eligible Entrant (defined below), valued at $20 each. The total Promotion prize pool value of $4.5 million comprised of the following:

A total of up to 225,000 vouchers can be claimed during the Promotional period or while stocks last. All rewards are subject to the Promotional Partner’s Terms and Conditions. (Outlined in Schedule 1)
Other Terms and Conditions
If any customer is not an Eligible Entrant, the reward will be deemed forfeited.
Rewards, or any unused portion of a reward, are not transferable or exchangeable and all entrants (Eligible Entrants or otherwise) are advised that tax implications may arise from their Promotion winnings, and they should seek independent financial advice prior to the acceptance of a reward.
Other than any liability that cannot be excluded by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), the Eligible Entrant releases the Promoter and TLC from liability for any loss or damage that is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), or for any personal injury suffered or sustained, arising in any way out of participation in the Promotion, including but not limited to, loss or damage arising as a result of the following;
receiving, accepting, or using the Reward;
any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control);
any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;
any entry that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter or TLC) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; and
any tax liability incurred by a Reward winner or Eligible Entrant
By entering this Promotion, each entrant (Eligible Entrants or otherwise) acknowledges and agrees that:
they will at all times conduct themselves in a proper manner, having consideration for other Eligible Entrants, the Promoter and any other person; and
they indemnify the Promoter or TLC for any damage, loss, cost or expense caused to any third party, property, any person or otherwise (Relevant Cost) as a result of their actions or omissions during and related to the conduct of the Promotion and must promptly pay any Relevant Costs to the Promoter or TLC (or any other relevant person) on demand.
As a condition of participation in the Promotion, each Eligible Entrant may be required to sign legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter or TLC in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form.
Entries and Redemptions will be deemed to be accepted at the time of receipt by the Promoter and not at the time of transmission by the Eligible Entrant. The Promoter is not liable for any problems with communications networks. If you enter using automatically generated entries or multiple phone numbers/email addresses/addresses/aliases, you may be disqualified.
The Promoter or TLC is not liable for any delays in the processing of information or for late, lost or miscalculated entries. If for any reason the Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including but not limited to reasons due to computer viruses, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter or TLC which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion, the Promoter and TLC may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion, subject to any written directions under State or Territory legislation.
The Promoter and TLC collects personal information about entrants (whether Eligible Entrants or otherwise) to include entrants in the Promotion and where appropriate, award Rewards. If any information requested by the Promoter or TLC is not provided, the Entrant may not participate in the Promotion.
The available unique codes and/or rewards remain subject to availability.
If an Eligible Entrant is unable to or refuses or fails to take part in any element of this Promotion, or a winning entry is deemed not to comply with these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter and TLC reserves the right to discard that Eligible Entrant’s entry and proceed as if that entrant had not entered the Promotion (whether they are an Eligible Entrant or otherwise).
Each entrant consents to the Promoter and TLC using (and/or permitting authorised third parties to use) the entrant’s name, likeness, image and/or voice (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Promotion (including any outcome), the Promoter or TLC and or products/services supplied by the Promoter or TLC.
These Terms and Conditions are subject, where appropriate, to State and Territory legislation. If any term infringes any law applicable to it and is as a consequence illegal, invalid or unenforceable then:
Where the offending term can be read down so as to give it a valid and enforceable operation of a partial nature it must be read down to the extent necessary to achieve that result; and
In any other case, the offending provision must be severed from these Terms and Conditions in which event the remaining terms operate as if the severed term had not been included.

Schedule 1 – Rewards Terms and Conditions
$20 Days Out Voucher
The Promotional Partner for the $20 Experience Oz Voucher is TicketMates Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 73 127 532 147).
Each Experience Oz Voucher entitles the winner to one (1) amount of $20 off an Experience booking made on

Each Experience Oz Voucher is non-cumulative, cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer and it cannot be redeemed for cash and is not for resale.
Additional restrictions on validity, age and height restrictions may apply – please check with the chosen participating supplier. The winner acknowledges that a prize may involve a dangerous activity, which may result in injury or death, and participates at their own risk.
The participating supplier in their absolute discretion, reserves the right to refuse to allow the winners to take part in any or all aspects of a prize if they reasonably believe the winners pose a safety risk or for any other reason.
Use of Experience Oz Voucher is subject to availability at participating suppliers and their use may be limited during public and school holidays and other peak periods.
Any disputes between claimants pertaining to the use of Experience Oz Voucher are strictly between the claimant and the participating supplier.
The Promoter, TLC and the participating supplier shall not be liable for any claim, loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law and the user of the Experience Oz Voucher indemnifies the Promoter, TLC and the participating supplier in relation to any claim, loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury which is suffered or sustained.
$20 Entertainment Voucher
The Promotional Partner for the $20 Ticketek Voucher is Ticketek Pty Ltd (ABN 92 010 129 110) ("Ticketek").
Each $20 Ticketek Voucher comprises of one (1) Ticketek voucher valued at $20.
Ticketek Vouchers cannot be redeemed for further Ticketek Gift Vouchers.
Each $20 Ticketek Voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or Voucher. This reward has no cash value and is not for resale.
Each $20 Ticketek Voucher can be redeemed for tickets to participating events on sale through ticketek.com.au, the Ticketek Call Centre, Ticketek Agencies and participating Westfield Concierge Desks. Ticketek does not have retail outlets in the Northern Territory.
Event specific Gift Vouchers can only be redeemed through Ticketek Agencies and participating Westfield Concierge Desks.
Ticketek Vouchers cannot be redeemed for tickets to events where it is a condition that a specific credit or debit card is required to complete the transaction

Free Movie Voucher
The Promotional Partner for the Free Movie Voucher is The Greater Union Organisation Pty Ltd (ABN 99 000 024 439).
The Free Movie Voucher is an Event Cinemas eVoucher and entitles the holder to one Adult or Student admission to any Original session at Event Cinemas, BCC, GU Film House, Greater Union or Village Cinemas.
The Event Cinemas eVoucher is not valid for use from 5pm onwards on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and public holidays.
