Want to enter the I Love My Bookshop Photo Competition? As well as being a great way to support #LYBD, you could win ABA pins and book vouchers.

To join the fun simply follow the steps below:

Take a photo that captures something of your bookshop-loving self, for example:

Selfie with you carrying a cherished bookish tote in your favourite bookshop
Selfie of you with a much-loved book in your favourite bookshop

Photos with interesting props – a LYBD cake; magnifying glasses for middle grade mysteries; dress-ups reflecting a much-loved protagonist etc.

Neighbourhood scene: photo of your local bookshop in its distinctive street setting
Bookface pics, often tagged as #bookfacefriday

Funny bookshop blackboards, book puns or illustrations

Pets in bookshops! Cats and dogs among the shelves

Post your photo on your social media channel by 8 October 2022 – Love Your Bookshop Day.

Make sure you include the hashtags #LYBD2022photocomp #loveyourbookshopday #LYBD2022 so ABA judges can see your entry. Winners will receive ABA pins and book vouchers to be redeemed at your local bookshop. Winners will be notified on 14 October.

Terms & Conditions:

Entries open 1 September and close 8th October 2022. One entry will be accepted per entrant. The winner consents to the ABA using the entry on social media. Each winner will receive a $50 Australian Book Voucher and Jubly-Umph X ABA lapel pin. Prize is not redeemable for cash.
