First Duck to finish on the Manning River (RRP: $1,000.00)
This is a very popular family event @TasteFest_on_the_Manning, that is great at engaging kids as well as adults! It's your chance to win $1000 for a $5 ticket per entry. Get your numbered duck now! The Rubber Duck Race is just that, a race between a large number of rubber ducks.
Each entry receives a numbered entry that correlates to the rubber duck entered in the race held @TasteFest_on_the_Manning. The ducks are launched into the Manning River and float with the tide. The first duck to finish the race as determined by the Race Organisers is awarded first prize to the value of $1000 AUD. All decisions by the race organizers are final and there is no right of appeal.
How to participate?
BUY a numbered rubber duck to represent your duck in the race. The rubber ducks are then let out at a selected starting point (depending on the tide on Saturday) in the river and the first to reach the finish line is the winner.
When is it on and where?
The Race is held as part of our community festival TasteFest. In 2023 the Food, Craft Beer, Wine, and Music Festival will be held on Saturday APRIL 1 in Queen Elizabeth Park, Taree NSW 2430
Do I have to be in attendance to win?
NO, but its a great day and not to be missed.
What time is the Race on?
LIKE our Facebook Page @TasteFest to be updated as to what time the race will be held. It will depend on the tdes of the Mnning River but the race will be on during the Festival (between 10 am and 8:30 pm on April 1)
The entry portion of each online form must be completed in its entirety and delivered to the Producers or an authorized representative of the Producers and actually received by the Producers by 6:00 p.m. on FRIDAY, March 31, 2023 to be eligible to win any prizes. Online Entries received after 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2023 and any entries purchased on race day are subject to the availability of ducks, and in the event, the number of these entries exceeds the available number of ducks, these entrants will not be eligible to win any prizes. The Producers cannot guarantee that any entry received after these deadlines will be eligible to win any prizes. Except as otherwise provided for by the Producers, no other entrants are eligible to win any prizes. Entrants assume the risk of non-delivery of any entries to the Producers or to an authorized representative of the Producers. Physical sales of duck entries will also be available on the day of the event (Saturday April 1) up to One Hour prior to the race.
Note: By entering, the entrants release the Producers, its officers, directors, volunteers, staff, and other related entities from any and all liability with respect to the prizes.
A minimum of 750 ducks will be entered in the race. Chances of winning depend on the total number of qualified entries (Maximum entries = 3000). All profits go to our selected cancer charity: CanAssist Manning Valley Branch.
The minimum entry fee is $5. Free entries defeat the charitable fundraising purpose of this event and unfortunately cannot be accepted.
Once the ducks are launched, they are on their own. No attempt to free or interfere with any duck is permitted unless deemed necessary by the Race committee.
The "Mighty Manning Duck Race" is produced by the LIONS Club of TAREE (“the Producers”) a non-profit organization seving our community.
