From Thursday 9 – Thursday 23 November customers are encouraged to visit the Centre’s Op Shops to discover the many hidden treasures. When you spend $20 or more at Vinnies, Red Cross Australia or Save the Children, you will receive a $10 Voucher to spend back in-Centre.
With three Op Shops in the same vicinity, Victoria Point Lakeside is a one stop Op Shop. Each store includes a variety of homewares, fashion, books and more, between the three stores customers should be able to find exactly what they need!
The focus is on engaging with customers to shed light on how they can reduce their environmental footprint by shopping second hand thereby reducing the need for newly produced resources. This ties in with Planet Ark’s National Recycling Week which will run from Monday 13 November – Sunday 19 November.
While affordability is among the many benefits of buying pre-loved, Op Shopping for trendy eco-conscious consumers has become much more. Customers will travel far and wide hunting for unique fashion pieces, DIY furniture projects and if they are lucky, a designer piece or two!
