6: Competition Period Start Date & Time
Competition commences at 9:00am AEST Saturday 10th August 2024 for KIIS 1065 and KIIS 973.
Competition commences at 9:00am AEST Monday 19th August 2024 for KIIS 1011.
petition commences at 9:00am AEST Monday 9th September 2024 for MIX 1023.
The Promoter reserves the right to tease the Promotion prior to the Competition start date.
7. Competition Period Close Date & Time
Entries close at 2:30pm AEST on Friday 13th September 2024 for KIIS 1065, KIIS 1011, KIIS 973 and MIX 1023.
Competition concludes at 6pm AEST on Friday 13th September or whenever the Prize has been awarded.
The Promoter reserves the right to:
(i) amend the Contesting Period at its absolute discretion including to close the Competition within the Competition Period; and
(ii) terminate the Competition subject to any direction from a regulatory authority.
Entrants must be 21 years of age or over at the time of entry.
b) Entrants may enter more than once, however only one prize can be won per person per competition.
c) Promotions are not open to any person, including Australian residents, entering the competition from outside of Australia.
d) Entrants acknowledge that they must be contactable by the Promoter in order to be successful. Entrants unable to be contacted in accordance with these terms for any reason will forfeit their prize / opportunity.
e) Entrants who provide incorrect, misleading or fraudulent information are ineligible in the promotion and all entries of an entrant who is deemed by the Promoter to have provided incorrect or misleading information may, at the discretion of the Promoter be deemed invalid.
f) Entrants may be required to sign a legal indemnity form prior to accepting any prizes.
Entrants must be Australian residents and have a registered address
NSW, QLD, VIC or ADL.
Entrants must provide a nominated valid Australian bank account as requested by the Promoter, in the event that the entrant is a winner.
Entrants must be able to travel to the prize destination and attend the event. Entrants unavailable to travel and attend will forfeit their entry.
Entrants & their travelling companion must hold a current valid passport with at least 6 months validity from the travel dates, including the proposed return date to Australia, and they must meet any entry requirements for their chosen destination.
Entrants must be able to collect the prize from the Station or nominated travel agent as specified by the Promoter.
A person that is put to air or determined as an on-air prize winner cannot pass the telephone call on to anyone else, and should this occur, any person that is on air or has been passed the phone in this capacity will not be eligible for a prize, at the discretion of the Promoter.
If for any technical reason, the phone line drops out, or they are inaudible or they are or they are unreachable for any reason (including without limitation any technical or operator error), the entrant will not be awarded with a prize.
The Promoter reserves the right to give away clues or bonus entries to registered iHeartRadio users via the iHeartRadio app.
The Promoter will also give listeners the opportunity to visit the KIIS/Mix website and register to join The KIIS/Mix Club. By joining The KIIS/Mix Club, listeners may receive (at the Promoter’s absolute & sole discretion) exclusive emails relating to the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas. These may or may not include information on when the Promoter may solicit to contest.
9. How to enter
At various times during the Competition Period:
a) The Promoter will solicit on the respective station promotional phone number for callers to participate during the following time periods or as otherwise specific by the Promoter in it’s absolute and sole discretion;
- On KIIS 101.1 (VIC) and KIIS 106.5 (NSW) across the day between 10am – 3pm AEST or over the weekend at times as nominated by the Promoter (in its sole discretion)
- - On KIIS 97.3FM and Mix 102.3 across the day between 9am – 3pm AEST or over the weekend at times as nominated by the Promoter (in its sole discretion)
- On The Night Show WITH Mitch Churi between 7pm – 10pm AEST on KIIS 1065, KIIS 1011 and KIIS 97.3
(a) Entrants need to listen out for the cue to call, announced by the Promoter, to contest.
(b) Entrants who successfully call the respective station promotional phone number and are selected by the Promoter (in its sole and absolute discretion) and meet the entry restrictions, including but not limited to answering a question relating to iHeartRadio Music Festival, will receive 1 (one) Boarding Pass and entry into the Boarding Lounge.
(c) For the avoidance of doubt, 1 (one) Boarding Pass means 1 (one) entry into the Boarding Lounge, where all listeners within the relevant time period will go in the running to win the Prize. Receiving a “Boarding Pass” and entry into the ‘Boarding Lounge’ does not mean an entrant is deemed a winner of the Prize.
(d) Entrants who have successfully received a Boarding Pass (and thus entry into the Boarding Lounge) will be judged during the competition timeframe on their answer to the question posed by the Promoter, and will be in the running to win the Prize.
(e) The entrant judged to be the ‘best’ based on the criteria set out by the Promoter will be awarded the Prize. The Promoter
will select one (1) winner that it believes, based on valid registrations received:
a. meet the entry restrictions
b. have an appeal for radio;
c. are consistent with the Station’s style of irreverence
and humour;
d. personality, authenticity, uniqueness, heart
warming etc; and
e. suitability for the promotion, including for example
competitiveness.
(f) A person that is put to air or determined as a prize winner cannot pass the telephone call on to anyone else, and should this occur, any person that is on air or has been passed the phone in this capacity will not be eligible for a prize, at the discretion of the Promoter.
(g) If the Promoter is unable to contact eligible Contestants within the time period specified, they will forfeit their entry which will be replaced by another chosen entrant. For example, If the Contestant’s phone line drops out, they are inaudible or they are unreachable for any reason (including without limitation any technical or operator error), the Promoter may (in its sole and absolute discretion) select another Contestant and so on until someone is awarded the prize on air, at the absolute discretion of the Promoter.
(h) Entrants may be required to go through an eligibility checklist off air (at the absolute discretion of the Promoter) as noted in the entry restrictions. If the entrant who successfully calls does not meet the eligibility requirements, they will be not be eligible for the Prize.
(i) Rules will be stipulated on air by the Promoter, at its absolute discretion.
(j) The opening and closing time for calls to be received will be at the absolute discretion of the Promoter.
(k) The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
(l) The Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to refrain from broadcasting any call.
(m) Finalists, at the time of the winner calls, must be able to answer their phone on the number provided when entering within the time frame (as determined by the Promoter) and appear on air, to be deemed the winner and receive the Prize (in the absolute and sole discretion of the Promoter). The Promoter reserves the right to call-back the valid entrant if the call goes unanswered at its sole and absolute discretion, but is not obligated to do so if the valid entrant fails to answer.
11. Challenge Details
(n) If the Entrant does not answer their phone as above, their phone is turned off, engaged, the phone line drops out, they are inaudible or they are unreachable for any reason (including without limitation any technical or operator error), the Promoter may (in its sole and absolute discretion) select another Entrant in accordance with the Competition details and so on until someone is awarded the Prize, at the absolute discretion of the Promoter.
(o) On selected days throughout the promotion (at the discretion of the Promoter) the station may decide to hold themed days and additional challenges in accordance with the terms and conditions. These days, themes and challenges will be selected and played at random throughout the campaign. These days may result (at the discretion of the promoter) in bonus prizing awarded to entrants or adding additional contests or entrants throughout the campaign period.
(p) The Station may contact entrants to ask further questions about their entry. If entrants receive a call or are put to air this does not mean that they are the deemed winner.
(q) The Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to refrain from broadcasting any call.
(r) At any time during contesting the announcer(s) may give the entrant additional challenges or bribes. Examples including, but not limited to: A bonus round/double or nothing.
Other Entry
At various times across the Competition Period the Promoter at its absolute discretion may open alternative forms of entry.
This may include but is not limited to entries via the [Station] website, at live events, via the Promoter’s representatives and street team, via station SMS text and/or via iHeart mic. The Promoter will specify the specific mechanic and rules for entry and selection either online, on air, in person (for street team activities), or via social media (as applicable).
Entrants may enter the competition as many times as they wish, however Entrants may only win one (1) Prize each.
12. Judging Criteria
Each valid entry will be individually judged (by representatives of the Promoter) based on, among other things, creativity, humour, suitability for radio.
Judging dates and winner announcements will be at the discretion of the promoter and will be announced by Promoter during the competition period.
