Kevin Rudd wasn't the only big winner in November 2007 – Hugh Atkin found fame with his satirical Chairman Rudd video sledge, and the competition is back for 2010. With a vastly different political landscape for this year's election, we're giving you the opportunity to create and submit a video showing your unique view.
Yes, there is the irresistible prize of ABC gift vouchers for the best three entries, but even more than that there is the opportunity to showcase your talent in our shop window. Can your video win the second most important vote this August?
The winner will receive ABC shop vouchers worth $400, the runner up $200, and third $100.

This document sets out the terms of participation in ABC Innovation "Sledge" competition (the "Competition").
1.The promoter of this Competition is the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (the "Promoter") (ABN 524 292 78345), 700 Harris Street, Ultimo, New South Wales, Australia.
2.Entry to the Competition is open to all Australian residents over the age of 18 years. An entrant must be an individual and not a company or organisation. Employees of the Promoter or any person associated with the Competition, or any organisation or individual associated with the provision of the prize(s) are not eligible to enter.
3.Each entry must be entered in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. By entering the Competition, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. The Promoter may in its discretion refuse to award any prize to any entrant who fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions. All relevant instructions on the Promoter's website form part of these Terms and Conditions.
4.Entry into the Competition is free.
5.The Competition opens on Monday 19 July 2010 and closes on Saturday August 28 2010 ("Competition Period"). Any entry received after the expiry of the Competition Period will be deemed invalid. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost, delayed or misdirected entries.
6.To enter the Competition, you must:
a.create a video, of less than five (5) minutes duration, that is satirical in nature relating to the upcoming Federal Election or other political matter generally; ("Video");
b.submit your entry through the ABC YouTube channel available at
http://www.youtube.com/ABCelectionSledge ("YouTube Website").
7.By submitting the Video to the Promoter, you grant the Promoter and its licensees and assignees a non-exclusive licence to exercise all rights in perpetuity throughout the world in the Video and all other material provided by you to the Promoter at any time.
8.Without limiting the rights granted to the Promoter under point 7, you specifically agree that clause 7 grants to the Promoter the non-exclusive right throughout the world to communicate the Video in whole or in part to the public on any media platform and you grant to the Promoter all associated rights necessary to exercise the above rights.
9.To be eligible for a prize, the Video must:
i.adhere to any requirements of the Promoter's Editorial Policies (available at
www.abc.net.au/corp);
ii.meet any legal or classification requirements and not breach any law;
iii.not include any commercial or recorded music; and
iv.not include any material that involves proceedings currently before the Courts.
You acknowledge that the Promoter has the right to take down your Video from the YouTube Website if you breach any condition under clause 9 or for any other reason, and that taking down your Video from the YouTube Website is at the complete discretion of the Promoter.
The entrants whose Videos are judged by the Promoter's panel of judges to be the best, most original and creative will win one of the three prizes available ("Prize Winners"). For the avoidance of all doubt, there will be only three (3) Prize Winners.
Chance plays no part in determining the Prize Winners.
The Prize Winners will receive:
1st: ABC Shop vouchers to the value of $400
2nd: ABC Shop vouchers to the value of $200
3rd: ABC Shop vouchers to the value of $100
No component of the prize can be transferred or redeemed for cash. In the event that the prize becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond the Promoter's control, the Promoter reserves the right to provide a similar product to the same or greater value as the original prize, subject to any applicable laws or written directions made under applicable legislation.
All entries become the property of the Promoter and will not be returned to the entrants.
You warrant that:
i.all details provided with your entry are true and accurate;
ii.you have all necessary rights and licenses to grant the rights set out in these Terms and Conditions;
iii.the Video is an original work and has not been previously communicated to the public;
iv.you are the copyright owner or authorised licensor of all copyright works and subject matter comprising the Video (including the film, sound recording, musical and literary works);
v.any political opinion expressed in your Video is honestly held and not based on false statements of fact;
vi.the exercise of the rights granted to the Promoter in these Terms and Conditions will not infringe the rights of any third parties;
and you will indemnify the Promoter against any loss or damage resulting from any breach of these warranties.
You acknowledge that the Promoter is under no obligation to exercise any of the rights granted to it by these Terms and Conditions and communicating the Video to the public by the Promoter is at the complete discretion of the Promoter.
You acknowledge that the Promoter may allow users to view, listen to, reproduce, download and otherwise deal in the copyrights attached to and embodied in the Video. The Promoter aims to ensure that any use of the Video not authorised by the Promoter will not occur, however you acknowledge that the Promoter is not equipped with mechanisms to prevent unauthorised use of the Video, and you accept that, to the extent allowable under the law, the Promoter has no liability to you for how the end user elects to use the Video, and as such it may be permanently stored, reproduced, copied, distributed or the like, without recourse or remedy against the Promoter.
1.You agree that the Promoter may use your entry and any personal details provided to the Promoter for any promotional, marketing and publicity purposes of the Promoter in any media without notice and without any fee paid to you subject to the ABC's Privacy Policy available at
http://www.abc.net.au/privacy.htm.
Decisions of the Promoter and its panel of judges are final and will be binding on each person who enters the Competition and no correspondence will be entered into. The names of the Prize Winners will be announced at a future date to be determined by the Promoter after Saturday 28 August 2010 and posted on the Promoter's Website. The Prize winners will be notified via telephone using the contact details provided with their entry.
If there is any event that prevents or hinders the Promoter's conduct of the Competition or the Promoter's ability to deliver the prizes to the Prize Winners, the Promoter may, in its discretion, cancel the Competition and recommence it at another time under the same conditions or select another winner.
The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this Competition, or for any technical error that may occur in the course of the administration of this Competition. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
To the full extent permitted by the law, the Promoter will not be liable for any injury, damages, expenses, or loss whatsoever (whether direct or inconsequential) to persons or property as a result of any person entering into the Competition or accepting or using any prize, including without limitation non-receipt of any prize or damage to any prize in transit.
