Advanced Micro Devices Polar Lights Promotion
Official Rules

1. Eligibility
The Advanced Micro Devices Polar Lights Promotion (the "Promotion") is open only to legal residents of Australia who are at least 18 years of age and who purchase an AMD Vision Notebook and Desktop between June 1st 2010 and September 30th 2010. Employees of Advanced Micro Devices, GLOBALFOUNDRIES, Level 8, and their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliate companies and suppliers, vendors and agents, as well as their family and household members are not eligible to enter. Subject to all applicable laws and regulations. Void where prohibited. Participation constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Promoter's (as defined herein) decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Promotion. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.

2. Timing
The Promotion begins at June 1st 2010 and finishes on September 30th 2010 (the "Promotion Period"). The draw will take place at Level 8, 15 Talavera Rd, Nth Ryde NSW 2113] on October 5th 2010. Promoter's computer is the official time-keeping device for the Promotion.

3. How to Enter
Any person who purchases an AMD Vision Notebook between June 1st 2010 and September 30th 2010 is eligible to enter the promotion. Purchasers must go to amd.com/au to register their purchase details and fill out required fields on the entry form to enter. Use of any automated system to participate in the Promotion is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification and all entries submitted or received via such automated system will be void. The Promoter is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected information or entries, which will be disqualified and void. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of any entrant, the authorized account holder (as defined herein) of the email address used by, or connected to, the eligible entrant will be deemed to be the entrant. The "authorized account holder" is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, Internet service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.

4. Prize Drawings and Verification of Potential Winners
Winning is contingent upon complying with all terms and conditions of, and fulfilling all requirements contained in, these Official Rules. As of the date specified above, Promoter will randomly select one (1) Grand Prize Winner, three (3) First Prize winners, twenty five (25) Second Prize winners and twenty (20) Third Prize winners from all eligible entries received by the end of the Promotion Period. The winners will be notified by email or registered mail after the date of the Promotion drawing. Except where prohibited, the winner may be required to sign and return winners documentation, as determined by the Promoter in its sole discretion, to confirm eligibility, release the Promoter of liability, or for any other reason deemed necessary by the Promoter. If documentation is required, it must be received by the Promoter within the time frame indicated at the time of initial win notification otherwise the winner forfeits the prize. Subject to an unclaimed prize draw clause, if the potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to sign and return the required documentation (if applicable) within the time stipulated by the Promoter, or a prize is returned as undeliverable, the winners forfeits the prizes. Winners must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. In the event that the winner is disqualified for any reason, the Promoter will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries from the applicable country. If required, an unclaimed prize draw may take place on December 10th 2010 at the same time and place as the original draw, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. The winner's name will be published in The Australian on October 20th 2010. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant's identity, age and address) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these official rules or who tampers with the entry process. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.

5. Prizes:
One (1) Grand Prize: a "Polar Lights" trip package for two (2) people. Trip package includes round trip, coach-class airfare for both winner and guest from an airport near winner's home to Canada and 9 day/8 night cruise from Canada to Alaska with standard accommodations (single room, double occupancy). Winner must complete the trip within one (1) year from the drawing date or prize will be forfeited. Trip must be booked at least thirty-one (31) days prior to departure. Trip is subject to availability and blackout dates. Travel must be roundtrip. Sponsor will determine airline, flight itinerary, and hotel accommodations in its sole discretion. No refund or compensation will be made in the event of the cancellation or delay of any flight. Travel and accommodations are subject to availability. Travel is subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this Promotion, and those set forth by the Sponsor's airline carrier of choice as detailed in the passenger ticket contract. All expenses and incidental travel costs not expressly stated in the package description above, including but not limited to, ground transportation, meals, incidentals, passenger tariffs or duties, surcharges, airport fees, service charges or facility charges, personal charges at lodging, security fees, taxes or other expenses are the responsibility solely of winner. Unless child of winner, travel companion must be eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of departure and must travel on same itinerary and at the same time as the winner. Travel companion must execute liability/publicity releases prior to issuance of travel documents. Winner and travel companions are solely responsible for obtaining valid passports and any other documents necessary for international travel. No compensation will be given if winner or guest is unable to travel for any reason. Travel restrictions, conditions and limitations may apply. Sponsor will not replace any lost, mutilated, or stolen tickets, travel vouchers or certificates. Sponsor is not responsible if any events or activities are delayed, postponed or cancelled for any reason, in which event that portion of prize is forfeited in its entirety and no substitution will be provided except as in Sponsor's sole discretion. Approximate Retail Value ("ARV"): $10,000 AUD. Actual value may vary based on airfare fluctuations and distance between departure and destination. Winner will not receive difference between actual and approximate retail value.

Three (3) First Prizes: an AMD Phenom™ processor- based PC with 3 monitor displays and ATI Eyefinity Technology to connect all 3 displays into a single visual experience. Specific details of the systems, including processor speed, hard drive size, memory size, monitor manufacturer and included peripherals to be chosen at Promoter's sole discretion. ARV $2500 AUD.

Twenty Five (25) Second Prizes: a general-use retail gift card valued at $200 AUD. Prize subject to gift cards' terms and conditions.

Twenty (20) Third Prizes: a Laser Digital photo frame. ARV $69 AUD. For All Prizes: Allow 6 to 8 weeks for shipment of prizes.

Total Prize pool valued at $23,880 AUD.

Prizes are non-transferable and no substitution will be made except as provided herein at the Promoter's sole discretion. Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize for one of equal or greater value if the designated prize should become unavailable for any reason, unless prohibited by law and subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority. The Promoter will not be liable or responsible for any lost, stolen, or misplaced prizes. Winners are responsible for all taxes and fees associated with prize receipt and/or use. Odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. Limit: One (1) prize per person.

6. Release
By entering the Promotion, each entrant agrees to release and hold harmless the Promoter, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies, and prize suppliers, and each of their respective parent companies and each such company's officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively, the "Released Parties") from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Promotion or receipt or use or misuse of any prize. This Release does not apply to claims for personal injury or death caused by the negligence of the Released Parties.

7. Publicity
Except where prohibited, participation in the Promotion constitutes winners consent to Promoter's use of winner's name likeness, image and/or voice (incl. photograph, film and/or recording of the same) and country of residence for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, for an unlimited period of time without further payment or consideration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.

8. General Conditions
Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Promotion, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond the Promoter's reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Promotion, as determined by the Promoter in its sole discretion and subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. The Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Promotion or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or any other promotion or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Promotion may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, the Promoter reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. The Promoter's failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Any costs associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant's responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.

9. Limitations of Liability
Except for any implied condition or warranty the exclusion of which from these Official Rules would contravene any statute or cause any part of these Official Rules to be void ("Non Excludable Condition"), the Promoter excludes from these Official Rules all conditions, warranties and terms implied by statute, general law or custom. Except for liability in relation to a Non Excludable Condition, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability whether arising in tort (including without limitation negligence), contract or otherwise for any personal injury or any other loss or damage (including without limitation loss of opportunity or loss of profits) whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, without limitation, the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter's control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Conditions of Entry; (e) any tax implications; and/or (f) a prize or use of a prize.

10. Jurisdiction
The laws of Australia apply to this promotion to the exclusion of any other law. Entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia. To the extent that the laws of the relevant Australian States and Territories do not apply to this Promotion, entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Promotion or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the United States District Court for the Northern District of California or the appropriate California State Court located in Santa Clara County, California (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Promotion, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (3) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Promotion, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of California without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of California or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of California.

11. Entrant's Personal Information
All personal information will be treated in accordance with the Promoter's privacy policy, available at http://www.amd.com/us/aboutamd/Pages/privacy.aspx Participation in the Promotion implies authorization to transfer personal data to the United States and Canada for purposes of administration of the Promotion and/or future marketing purposes. Personal information will be used to: (a) contact potential winners; and (b) if an entrant selects to receive additional information from the Sponsor on the entry form, to send additional information to that entrant. Entrants have the right to access, withdraw, and correct their personal data. Entrants may request such action by sending a message to promotions@mjbconsulting.com.au
