Terms and Conditions:ABC delicious website Competition Terms and Conditions of entry This document sets out the terms of participation in [date of issue] delicious magazine’s ‘Rick Stein’ Competition (the “Competition”).
1. Information on how to enter the Competition and the prize details form part of these terms and conditions of entry. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
2. The Promoter of the Competition is the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), 700 Harris Street, Ultimo, 2007, NSW, ABN 52 429 278 345.
3. The Competition is open to all residents of Australia except employees and immediate family of the Promoter and its agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
4. The Competition opens on 18th August 2010 at 9am and closes at 6.00pm on 15th September 2010. To enter the Competition you must: (i) in 25 words or less, tell us ‘what your ultimate foodie destination is and why’ (“Entry”); and (ii) submit your Entry by: going to the delicious website - : deliciousmagazine.com.au and clicking on the ‘abcmagazines@your.abc.net.au’ link. Then complete the email making the subject line ‘delicious./Rick Stein website competition’. Each Entry must include the entrant’s name, address, email and a daytime telephone contact number or it will be deemed invalid.
5. There will be 5 prize winners. The prize winner will receive one free copy of the Rick Stein DVD “French Odyssey” and one free copy of the Rick Stein DVD “Far Eastern Odyssey”
6. Only entries that comply with these terms and conditions will be eligible to enter. Entrants can enter as many times as they wish. The entrants whose entries are judged by the Promoters’ panel of judges to be the best, most original, humorous and creative will win the prizes. The winners’ names will appear on the delicious website the month following the close of the competition.
7. Upon receipt of entries, they become the property of the Promoters and will not be returned to the entrants. The entrants irrevocably consent to the Promoters publishing the entries and entrants’ names in delicious magazine and/or internet.
8. The Promoters’ decision is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into. Judging will be by suitably qualified judges (from within ABC) able to assess the quality and creativity of the entries and each entry will be judged on its merits. Chance plays no part in determining the winner.
9. The Promoters will not be responsible if the prize or any part of the prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoters’ control. In the event of such cancellation, re-scheduling or unavailability of the prize, the Promoters will endeavour, but are not obliged, to provide substitute prizes of equivalent value.
10. The prize is strictly as above. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. The Promoters accept no responsibility for any variation in the prize value. The promoter may in its discretion refuse to award any prize to any entrant who fails to comply with these terms and conditions.
11. To the full extent permitted by the law, the Promoters will not be liable for any loss (including, but not limited to, direct, indirect, special or consequential loss or damage, loss of opportunity, revenue or profit), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with this promotion or from accepting or using the prizes.
12. Total value of the prizes is as follows: 5 Prizes each to be won. Valued at $69.90 each.
