Terms and Conditions
By entering the Carpet Court ‘Red Carpet’ Game of Chance Competition (the “Competition”),
you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
1. STANDARD TERMS
1.1. Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry.

2. WHO CAN ENTER?
2.1. Subject to clause 2.2, entry is open to all residents of Australia, who are 18 years of
age, where the Channel Seven signal is received.
2.2. Employees and their immediate families of Seven Network (Operations) Limited,
Pacific Magazines, Yahoo!7, Carpet Court Australia Ltd, MNET Group Limited, and
their associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter

3. HOW TO ENTER
3.1. The Competition commences on Sunday 16 January 2011 at 00:01 AEDT and
concludes on Saturday 12 March 2011 at 23:59 AEDT (“Competition Period”).

3.2. To enter, viewers must register their entry as follows:
a) Logon to www.yahoo7.com.au/carpetcourt and complete the entry fields required.
b) The Entrant must leave their full name, address (including postcode) and daytime
telephone number (including STD area code).
c) The Entrant must answer a question that relates to the Carpet Court website. The
entrant must follow the hyperlink from the entry page to the Carpet Court website
to locate the answer to the entry question.

3.3. All Entrants in the Competition may enter as many times as they like but may not use
“scripting” for multiple entries (which will be deemed invalid).

3.4. Entrants who submit the correct answer will be entered into the draw.
3.5. All entries must be received by 23:59 AEDT on Saturday 12th March 2011.
3.6. Entry details remain the property of the Promoter and Sponsor and will not be
returned to the entrant. The winning person agrees to grant the Promoter and
Sponsor a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use their entries in all media
worldwide and the winners will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
3.7. The time of entry will in each case be the time indicated in the entry as received by
Yahoo!7 website address.
3.8. Entry into the Competition is free with the exception of any costs the entrant may
incur for access to an internet provider or server is the responsibility of the entrant.

4.3 Total Combined Prize Value is: $19,925 AUD (including GST). Prize value is correct as
of 7th November 2010. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any change in prize
value and the winner will not be entitled to any cash or substitute prize should any
discrepancy in price occur between the date of printing these terms and conditions and
the date of accepting the prize.

4.4 The winning Entrant should seek independent financial advice about any tax
implications that may arise from the prize winnings.
4.5 In participating in the prizes, the winner (and their companion) agrees to participate and
co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the Competition, including but
not limited to being interviewed and photographed. The winner (and their companion)
agrees to grant the Promoter a perpetual and exclusive licence to use such footage and
photographs in all media worldwide and the winners will not be entitled to any fee for
such use.
4.6. The winner (and their companion) agrees that they will not sell or otherwise provide
their story and/or photographs to any media or other organisation.
4.7. Any additional expenses not outlined in these terms and conditions will be the
responsibility of the winner.
4.8. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and may not be redeemed for cash

4.9. Travel associated with the prize must take place within one (1) year of the winner being
notified of the prize.
4.10 At least one (1) traveller (the prize winner or their companion) must be over 18 years of

4.11 Seven Network (Operations) Limited promotes responsible drinking of alcoholic
beverages.
4.12 The winner and companion are responsible for obtaining all necessary documentation
for travel, including but not limited to a valid passport and visas as required.
4.13 The winner of the prize must advise travel dates to the Sponsor within three (3) months
of notification of win. The Sponsors contact details will be supplied to the winner when
notified of win via phone, email and/or mail.
4.14 Requested times and dates of travel are subject to availability.
4.15 No stopovers are permitted on travel associated with the prize and flights and
accommodation are subject to availability. Blackout periods apply for the flight and hotel
components of the prize including meaning that the winner and companion cannot use
the prize in the following time periods: the last week in November, first two weeks of
December and New Year’s Eve weekend.
4.16 The prize is valid until 12th March, 2012.
4.17 Changes to the prize winner’s flight details once booked will incur a change fee per
guest and the payment of this is will be the responsibility of the winner.
4.18 The prize winner and their companion must travel together on the same flights and stay
in their allocated accommodation.
4.19 The prize winner (and their companion) may not use Frequent Flyer points from any
airline on the travel prize and cannot upgrade any travel prize using Frequent Flyer
points.
4.20 The prize is a single event holiday and must be taken together.
4.21 The hotel accommodation prize element in the prize is for two persons, for three nights.
4.22 All other expenses such as car hire, spending money, meals, travel insurance,
transfers, government levies, meals, passports, visas, vaccinations, transport to and
from the winners departure point, items of a personal nature, in-room charges or other
expenses or fees not expressly stipulated in these terms and conditions will be the
responsibility of the prize winner.
4.23 The Promoter and Sponsor make no representation as to the safety, conditions or other
issues that may exist at any destination. International travel advice can be obtained
from various sources, including government, local consular offices and the website of
the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade
4.24 All accommodation and land components of the prize are subject to Seven Network
(Operations) Limited and other suppliers booking conditions and availability.
4.25 The Promoters accept no responsibility for any variation in the prize value. Where a
prize is unavailable for any reason, the Promoters may substitute for that prize another
item of equal or higher value as determined by the Promoters, subject to the approval
of the gaming authorities in each state and territory, where required.
4.26 Subject to state government legislation the Promoter reserves the right to reasonably
amend or vary these terms and conditions at its sole discretion, orally or in writing, for
the purpose of Seven’s programming, scheduling or production requirements. The
Promoter may at its discretion provide notice of any changes in the Competition spots
aired during the Competition.

5. HOW TO WIN
5.1 There will be one (1) prize winner who will be selected from all entries received. Each
entrant who has entered the Competition within the opening and closing dates,
complied with all entry requirements and answered the question correctly will be
entered into the pool of entries. Competition entries that do not contain the information
required by clause 3.2 and 3.3, or that does not otherwise comply with these terms and
conditions, may be deemed to be invalid at the Promoter’s absolute discretion.
5.2 The draw will be held on Tuesday 15th March 2011at 10:00am. The draw will take place
at MNET Group Limited, Level 2, 8 Leigh Street, Adelaide, SA 5000.
5.3 The winner will be notified by phone call within two days of the draw and a letter
advising the winner of their prize and delivery timeframe will also be mailed out. The
prize will be delivered to the winner within 28 working days of the draw. All winners will
be published in the Public Notices section of The Australian newspaper on Monday 21st
March
5.4 The Promoter may in its absolute discretion deem entries invalid subsequently to a
Winner being notified or a Winner’s name being announced if it is discovered that the
winner did not enter the Competition in accordance with these terms and conditions. In
these circumstances, an additional draw will be conducted. The promoter’s decision is
final and the promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result.
5.5 It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner (and any companions) must
comply with all conditions of use of the prize and also the prize supplier’s requirements.
5.6 It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be required to sign a legal
release in a form determined by the Promoter and Sponsor in its absolute discretion.
5.7 Subject to relevant legislation, an unclaimed prize draw will take place at MNET Group
Limited, Level 2, 8 Leigh Street, Adelaide, South Australia 5000 on Thursday 16 June
2011 at 1000 AEST and the winner will be notified by mail and their details published in
the Public Notes section of The Australian newspaper on Monday 27 June 2011.
4 NO LIABILITY
6.1 In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or
significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the Competition on the dates
and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to
vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike,
war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the Competition
and recommence it from the start on the same conditions.
6.2 Seven Network (Operations) Limited & affiliates, Carpet Court Australia Ltd and their
associated agencies and companies will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or
lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail.
6.3 Seven Network (Operations) Limited & affiliates, Carpet Court Australia Ltd. and their
associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any misadventure, accident,
injury, loss (including but not limited to consequential loss) or claim that may occur:
a) during the judging;
b) whilst undertaking any travel won on or connected with their entry into the
Competition; or
c) in the participation in any prize;
d) as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail;
e) due to the broadcast of any program relating to the Competition or the publication
of any material, including any statements made by any compere, staff member,
journalist, other entrants or any other person.
f) in relation to failure of an entry message to be received by the Promoter on account
of technical problems or traffic congestion; or

Since it's multiple entry, I entered a few times by pushing 'back' and 'submit' again, but if the URL in the address bar doesn't change between the entry page to the submitted page I wonder if the entry has gone through?
Or am I just over-thinking things, lol.
