Your daughter is so lucky Calpot, yes tried the peppermint rub along with tiger balm and both made it worse.  The only thing that works for me is prescription drugs...Imigran spray along with panadeine fortes and valium, along with a very dark sound proof room and hopefully sleep, otherwise I suffer for anywhere up to a fortnight.   Good point, at least they were free

I'm not sure she'd agree about lucky - she'd have between 5 and 10 migraines a month between age 9 and 12 until we had great support from her paediatrician (and sandomigran I think) and the migraines were always traumatic but at least would usually go away after 24 hours - she's not good with pain.  Anyway if taking the edge off helps then I'm all for it. 

Sorry you're in such a bad way with yours.  Hope someone finds a foolproof solution sometime soon.

I meant lucky that the kool n' sooth help her a little!!!   The poor thing getting them so often       Ergodryl used to be good but they took them off the market!   

I'm with you, lets hope that solution comes sooner rather than later.

Thanks calpot, DD's boyfriend had occasion to use it yesterday. Had tablets as well but was very impressed and said it lasted for ages  will be buying these from the supermarket.
