Terms & Conditions
1. Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of
entry. By submitting an entry, all entrants are deemed to have accepted
these terms and conditions. Entrants will receive automatic subscription
to receive email communications from Tourism Queensland.
2. You will be entered into the "Win a Trip to Queensland" promotion by
logging onto the Queensland Holidays website at
http://www.queenslandholidays.com.au, nominating your preferred
Queensland event from the Events Calendar at
http://www.queenslandholidays.com.au/things-to-see-anddo/events/events-calendar.cfm and completing the entry form. Entrants
must be residents of Australia and 18 years of age or over.
3. The promotion commences on Wednesday 14th September 2011 at 9.00am
(AEST) and concludes on Monday 17th October 2011 at 10.00am (AEST).
4. The Event chosen must take place over the period 1st November 2011 to
31 January 2012.
5. Entrants will go into the random prize draw to win a trip to Queensland to
attend an event of their choice, including:
• Return trip to Queensland from the winner’s nearest Australian
capital city;
• 2 nights accommodation for two people in a double or twin room;
• 2 tickets to an event of the winner’s choice from the Events
Calendar subject to availability. If the chosen event is not available,
an alternative event may be agreed on by both parties;
Conditions:
• Prize is for two (2) people only
• Prize must be redeemed within the validity period or prize will be
forfeited
• Prize is subject to availability and black out dates may apply
• Any additional incidental charges are at your expense and should
be settled prior to departure;
• Standard Amendment and Cancellation fees apply.
Maximum prize value is $2,500.
6. The winner of the Prize will be selected by random electronic draw. The
drawing of the Prize will be conducted on Thursday 20th October 2011 at
10.00am (AEST). Prize winners will be notified by email and telephone.
7. The Prize is not transferable or exchangeable or redeemable for cash. If
the Prize is not claimed within one month, a redraw of the Prize will take
place immediately.
8. Travel insurance is not provided and Tourism Queensland recommends
that the prize winner obtains comprehensive travel insurance including
medical coverage (at their own expense) prior to travel. Prize winners will
be responsibility for all personal expenses.
9. Each entrant releases and indemnifies Tourism Queensland against all
liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of a Prize or
participation in the promotion including (but not limited to) personal injury
and damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable,
due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.
10. By accepting the prize, the prize winner agrees that Tourism Queensland
may use the winners name, likeness, appearance, voice and biographical
information for its promotional and publicity purposes.
11. Employees and Directors of Tourism Queensland, or agencies associated
with the promotion, and their immediate families, are ineligible to enter
the promotion.
