Conditions of Entry
1. Entry is open to Australian residents
over the age of 18.
2. Employees of China Southern Airlines Company Limited and their immediate families are not permitted to enter.
How to Enter
3. To qualify for the draw, ‘Eligible Persons’ must meet the following criteria:
a. Visit
www.csair/festival.com.au, subscribe to the China Southern Airlines Newsletter database and remain subscribed during the promotional period, up to and including the date that the Winner is announced. Entrants can opt out of receiving the Newsletter at any time after the Winner is announced and prize claimed.
b. In order to subscribe to the China Southern Airlines ENewsletter, entrants will be required to provide their full name, current and valid email address, daytime telephone number and postcode. Subscription to the email newsletter is free of charge.
Details of Prizes
4. There will be one (1) prize draw conducted after the close of the expo, resulting in one (1) major prize winner.
5. The prize details are as follows:
a. Return economy airfares for two (2) persons flying with China Southern Airlines Company Limited,
departing from Sydney, New South Wales and arriving in Guanzhou, China. Prize valued up to AUD$990 per person.
i. Prize Exclusions: Airport taxes, any change fees applicable to the fare booked, accommodation, all out of pocket expenses, spending money, meals, insurance, passports, visas, excess baggage charges, transport to and from the departure point, transfers and other ancillary costs.
ii. Prize Restrictions: Valid for China Southern Airlines with a CZ airline code only (excluding code-share flights). Frequent flyer points and status credits are not guaranteed and tickets are not upgradeable. All tickets must be issued by Tuesday, 7 August 2012. Change fees and all taxes are the responsibility of the winner. Tickets must be booked a minimum of five (5) weeks prior to departure. The prize must be redeemed in one transaction and cannot be kept for more than one use.
iii. Validity of Prize: The prize must be ticketed by Tuesday, 7 August 2012 for travel anytime. The ticket is valid for a maximum journey of three (3) months from the date of departure.
6. The total value of the prize is AUD$1,980.
7. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-redeemable for cash and non re-routable.
Duration of the Competition
8. The competition will commence at 9:00am on Monday, 7 November 2011.
9. The competition will close at 12:00 midnight on Sunday, 29 January 2012.
Date, Time and Place of Prize Draw
10. All entries will be printed from the website and placed into a barrel for drawing at China Southern Airlines Company Limited Head Office, situated at Level 19, 25 Bligh Street, Sydney, New South Wales 2000.
11. The major prize will be drawn manually from the barrel at the China Southern Airlines Company Limited Head Office, situated at Level 19, 25 Bligh Street, Sydney, New South Wales 2000 on Tuesday, 7 February 2012 at 4:30pm.
12. There will be one prize winner drawn from the barrel.
Notification of Winners
13. The prize winner will be notified by telephone on Tuesday, 7 February 2012.
14. The prize will be mailed out to the prize winner no later than Tuesday, 21 February 2012.
15. The prize winner consents to the use of their name, suburb of residence and image for promotional and marketing purposes and agrees to participate in reasonable promotional activities as requested by the Promoter.
16. The results of this promotion will be published on Sunday, 12 February 2012 in the Sydney Sunday Telegraph.
No Liability
17. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible or liable for:
(i) inaccurate / incorrect transcription of entry information;
(ii) purported entries that are not received for any reason, including because they are lost, misdirected or stolen, or that are received, but are late, illegible, incomplete, sent with insufficient postage (where entry is by post), or sent other than as directed in the entry instructions;
(iii) any problems or technical failures of any kind, including malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems or network, servers or providers, computer equipment, or software;
(iv) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any service whether or not caused by traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Website;
(v) unauthorised human intervention in any part of the competition;
(vi) electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the competition;
(vii) any loss suffered or sustained, to person or property and including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to a prize winner and, where applicable, to any family/persons accompanying a winner; or
(viii) any injury or damage to persons or property, including to the participant's or any other person's computer related to, or resulting from, participation or downloading any materials in this competition.
18. The Promoter will not be liable for personal injury suffered during prize winnings. The prize winner, and his or her guests (if any), must sign and return any liability release and indemnity provided by the Promoter and/or its contractors as a condition of a prize being awarded. Failure to return the signed releases and indemnities will result in the entitlement to the prize being forfeited and the selection of another winner.
19. This condition does not affect, and is not intended to affect, any rights a consumer might have, which cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any liability of the Promoter or its servant or agents for breach of any such rights is limited to the payment of the cost of having the prize supplied again.
Unclaimed Prize Draw
20. If the prize is not claimed within three (3) months of the draw, an unclaimed prize draw will be conducted on Monday, 7 May 2012 at 10:00am at China Southern Airlines Company Limited Head Office, situated at Level 19, 25 Bligh Street, Sydney, New South Wales 2000.
21. Should an unclaimed prize draw be necessary, the prize winner of the unclaimed prize draw will be notified by telephone, and by a letter in writing.
22. The unclaimed prize will be mailed out to the prize winner no later than Monday, 21 May 2012.
23. In the event of an unclaimed prize draw for this promotion the results will be published on Sunday, 31 May 2012 in the Sydney Sunday Telegraph.
Promoter’s Details
24. The Promoter is China Southern Airlines Company Limited ABN 98 079 289 124 situated at Level 19, 25 Bligh Street, Sydney, New South Wales 2000. The personal information of entrants will be collected to enable the Promoter to administer and promote this competition and its winners and may be used to market its services to the entrants. The personal information of winners may be provided to authorities that regulate this competition.
25. In the event that entrants decide to opt out of receiving information on promotions, services and market research provided by China Southern Airlines Company Limited they can select the ‘opt out’ tab on any email received from China Southern Airlines Company Limited.
26. If an entrant does not truthfully provide all requested personal information, the Promoter may determine that they are not eligible to win the prize.
