Women 'Taking 1 step for better mental health' photo competition



beyondblue is touring Australia as part of its National Roadshow and is encouraging Australians everywhere to ‘Take 1 step for better mental health'.

To celebrate Women's Health Week (1-5 September) we’re running a photo competition to promote women’s health and wellbeing.

Thanks to Digital Camera Warehouse, one lucky winner will take home an Olympus OM-D E-M10 Twin Kit valued at $1199. Second prize will be awarded a Fujifilm FinePix S1 camera valued at $659. Third place will receive a $150 voucher for Digital Camera Warehouse.

The 'Healthy Snaps! Women'Taking 1 Step for better mental health' competition (Competition) is being held and promoted by Beyond Blue Ltd ABN 87 093 865 840 of 40 Burwood Road, Hawthorn, Victoria, 3122 (beyondblue). Opening and closing dates
The Competition opens at 9:00am on 23 July 2014 (EST) and concludes at 9:00pm on 27 August 2014 (EST) (Competition Period). Who may enter
The only people who many enter the Competition are:
 Australian residents;
 over 16 years of age; and
 not beyondblue employees or immediate family of beyondblue employees.
For the purposes of these terms and conditions, ‘immediate family’ means a spouse, parent, child or sibling, whether or not they live in the same household as a relevant beyondblue employee. How to enter
Participants enter the Competition by:
(i) taking a photo in the theme of women ‘Taking 1 Step for better mental health' (to promote women and wellbeing). Please note that submissions should not include photos of children; and
(ii) completing the entry form on www.beyondblue.org.au/competitions (Website) (including uploading image and photo caption which tells the story of the image (up to 50 words).
beyondblue will display the winners and highly commended entries on the Website. Conditions of entry
By entering this Competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. beyondblue reserves the right to verify the validity of entries received, and to disqualify any participant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
beyondblue will, at its sole discretion, disqualify from entry into the Competition any photo it deems unsuitable, including, without limitation, photos containing:
(i) children;
(ii) inappropriate or offensive content;
(iii) violent, harmful, abusive or defamatory content;
(iv) disrespectful content;
(v) content that infringes intellectual property rights or moral rights of another person or entity; or
(vi) advertisements of personal details, products, services or events.
By submitting a photo to beyondblue, participants acknowledge and agree:
(i) that all intellectual property subsisting in any photo submitted to beyondblue (Photo) vests in the participant submitting the Photo, or the person submitting the relevant Photo has been granted to right to deal with the Photo in the manner required by these Terms and Conditions;
(ii) to grant beyondblue an irrevocable, non-exclusive, perpetual and royalty-free licence to use (including the right to sub-licence) participants' Photos for any of the following purposes:
a. to raise awareness about depression, anxiety and/or related disorders among the Australian community;
b. to promote the activities and achievements of beyondblue's programs and activities, and its partner organisations;
(iii) to allow beyondblue to use or reproduce any Photo (in accordance with the licence granted to beyondblue by the participant) with or without attribution of authorship (so long as beyondblue does not falsely attribute authorship).
Any entry that is entered outside of the Competition Period will be invalid.
Judging criteria
Entries to the Competition will be judged on relevance to the theme and originality of the photo. The three participants who entered the Photos that are considered by beyondblue to best fit these criteria will be deemed to be the first, second or third prize Competition winners (Winners). Selection of the winner and prize details
Winners will be announced on Monday 1 September 2014 at 40 Burwood Road, Hawthorn West 3122.
The first prize winner will be awarded an Olympus OM-D E-M10 Twin Kit (valued at $1199), the second prize winner will be awarded a Fujifilm FinePix S1 camera (valued at $659) and the third prize winner will be awarded a Digital Camera Warehouse voucher for $150 (collectively, Prizes).
The Winners will be notified via email or phone on or before 5 September 2014 using the details provided to beyondblue as part of the Competition entry, at which stage beyondblue will require details of a mailing address for the Prize.
Each Prize must be accepted as offered and is not exchangeable, transferable or redeemable for cash.
If any aspect of a Prize cannot be provided for any reason, beyondblue reserves the right to substitute the relevant Prize, in whole or in part, for any other item of equal or greater value.
If a Prize remains unclaimed after 30 September 2014 (including due to the failure by a Winner to supply a mailing address), the relevant Prize will be considered forfeited and may be used by beyondblue for an alternative purpose, entirely at the discretion of beyondblue. Privacy
All personal information collected by beyondblue in conjunction with the Competition will be handled and used in accordance with beyondblue's Privacy Policy, available on beyondblue's website (www.beyondblue.org.au).
Personal information collected by beyondblue in conjunction with the Competition will be used to identify the winner and for beyondblue's future marketing and promotional activities.
beyondblue may ask the Winners to participate in promotional activities related to the Competition, which may include taking the Winners photograph. Participants agree to participate in such promotional activities and will not be entitled to any fee for their participation. Internet
If, for any reason, the Competition does not run during the Competition Period due to a computer virus, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of beyondblue that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, beyondblue reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition or disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.
beyondblue is not responsible for any:
(i) malfunction, delay or traffic congestion on any network or line, computer on-line system, servers or providers, computer equipment, software or website; or
(ii) failure of any email or entry to be received by beyondblue. Limitation of liability
beyondblue makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of the Prizes.
To the extent permitted by law, beyondblue is not liable for any loss or damage that is suffered (including, but not limited to, indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by beyondblue, its employees, agents or contractors in connection with the Competition.
In the event that any such liability cannot be excluded by law, the total liability of beyondblue will not exceed the total value of the Prizes.
