Magic in the Moonlight is in cinemas nationally from today and to celebrate, we’re giving you the chance to win tickets!
A romantic comedy set in the 1920s, Magic in the Moonlight stars Colin Firth as Stanley, a master illusionist who travels to the wealthy Catledge family estate on the French Riviera, where he is tasked with exposing a young clairvoyant as a fraud. The clairvoyant in question is Sophie Baker (Emma Stone), who is staying at the family mansion at the invitation of Grace Catledge (Australian actress Jacki Weaver). Grace is convinced Sophie is a genuine medium and is desperate to commune with the spirit of her late husband. Meanwhile, heir to the family fortune Bryce (Hamish Linklater) has fallen head over heels for Sophie, serenading her incessantly on his ukulele. As a staunch non-believer, Stanley scoffs at the family’s gullibility. But in true Woody Allen style, he's soon caught up in a hilarious existential crisis as his whole rational belief system is shaken by Sophie's supernatural charms.
