A few years back some peeps decided to bring everything we love about France to the streets of Sydney and Melbourne. For much less money than a ticket to Paris, So Frenchy So Chic is inviting picnic lovers to join them for a third year in celebrating and experiencing all kinds of wonderfully French things (except sex and cigarettes, take note it’s a child friendly event).
Artists including Emilie Simon, La Femme, Francois and the Atlas Mountains, and The Dø (who we caught up with in issue 73) will be standing up on stage and singing while you slowly graze on baguettes, whole wheels of cheese, and other traditional French fare available from a number of gourmet food stalls.
Then it’s time to sit back, digest and drink champagne before asking your partner in your suavest French accent, “Plus de fromage?” Heck yeah, more cheese. Also there’s a new rule (which we just made up) that if you have a moustache it must be twiddled once per hour in the direction of someone English.
