Selma tells the historic story of Dr Martin Luther King’s (David Oyelowo) struggle to secure voting rights for African Americans. Dr King’s dangerous campaign culminated in the epic march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama, and galvanised American public opinion, and in turn persuading President Lyndon B. Johnson to introduce the Voting Rights Act in 1965. This year marks the 50th anniversary of this pivotal moment in the Civil Rights Movement. Selma also stars Giovanni Ribisi, Tim Roth, Carmen Ejogo, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Oprah Winfrey.

The Prize is a double pass to an advanced preview screening of Selma on Monday February 2, 2015. Double passes are valued at $39 RRP. There are a total of fifteen (15) winners for the Selma competition.
The Prize is valid only on Monday February 2, 2015.
The Winners will be contacted via email.
The Promoter is Map Magazine Pty Ltd (ACN 088 035 045) trading as The Weekend Edition.

How to Enter:
To participate in the Competition, the entrant must subscribe or have subscribed to The Weekend Edition’s e-news.
Existing subscribers only need to enter the competition on The Weekend Edition website.
Entrants must fully and correctly complete and submit the entry form on The Weekend Edition website. If you do not supply the information, your entry will be deemed invalid. You may only enter this competition once.
Competition is deemed acceptance of the terms and conditions.
The Prize is not negotiable or redeemable for cash.
The Prize must be redeemed by the Prize Winner.
Eligibility: to be eligible to enter this Competition, a person must:
be over 18 years of age
be permanent residents of the State of Queensland
fully and correctly complete and submit the entry form on The Weekend Edition website
not be employees of The Weekend Edition and their immediate families, the staff of companies involved in the production, publishing and administration of this promotion and their immediate family means parents, siblings, defacto, spouse, children and grandparents.
Competition Dates: The Competition commences at 5:00 pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on Tuesday January 20, 2015 and closes at 5:00 pm on Tuesday January 27, 2015. All entries must be received by the Promoter by 5:00 pm AEST on Tuesday January 27, 2015.
Competition Draw: Winners will be randomly drawn on Wednesday January 28, 2015 at 9:00 am AEST at The Weekend Edition Office, 5 Morse Street, Newstead 4006. The Winners of the Prize will be the first eligible entries randomly drawn. The decision will be conclusive and no correspondence will be entered into.
