Terms and Conditions - How will you BITE BACK in 2015?This competition is conducted by the BITE BACK website. BITE BACK is run by the Black Dog Institute ACN 115 954 197.
By participating in the competition and submitting your entry on this Entry Form, you are deemed to accept these Terms and Conditions of the Competition.
This Competition is open to Australian residents aged between 12 and 18 years of age, inclusive.If an entrant is under the age of 18 on Tuesday 3rd March, 2015, they must obtain parent or guardian approval of these Terms and Conditions before submitting an entry.Entries must be submitted as specified on the Entry Form and must be received via email by 4:00pm AEDT on Tuesday 3rd March, 2015. Any entry received after this date will be deemed invalid.
You are able to enter more than once. Entries that cannot be opened or read by the Black Dog Institute will be deemed invalid.
By entering this competition you affirm that your entry is original and your own work and confirm that it will not infringe the rights of any third party.
By entering this competition, and providing a response to the competition question, you assign all intellectual property rights (including but not limited to full copyright) to the Institute. You agree that your entry may be used by the Institute for promotion, advertising, education, teaching and research purposes. You agree that your response may be published in whole or in part and agree that in using or publishing this content the Black Dog Institute does not have to acknowledge you as the contributor.
You must ensure and represent that your response is not sexually explicit, offensive or defamatory in any way.
You agree that no fee will be payable to you for the assignment of your entry to the Institute and the Institute's use of your entry.
This is a competition of creativity and skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged based on merit. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Entries will not be returned.
There are five prize packs for winning entries to be awarded. The 'Mystic Choc Lover Pack' includes a Fuji Instax Mini 8 Instant Camera Kit valued at $99.95AUD, a mini bluetooth speaker valued at $15.00AUD, a chocolate fondue set valued at $12.00AUD, and a plasma ball valued at $17AUD. The 'Party Pack' includes a Fuji Instax Mini 8 Instant Camera Kit valued at $99.95AUD, a novelty picnic speaker valued at $15.00AUD, a chocolate fountain valued at $12.00AUD, a blue lava lamp valued at $9.00AUD, and a wooden desktop blowing set valued at $8.00AUD. The 'Stay Up & Wake Late' pack includes a Fuji Instax Mini 8 Instant Camera Kit valued at $99.95AUD, a running wheel alarm clock valued at $10.00AUD, an ice cream maker valued at $19.00AUD, and a multi-coloured ball string light valued at $7.00AUD, and a billiards/snooker set valued at $8.00AUD. The 'Night-In Pack' includes a Fuji Instax Mini 8 Instant Camera Kit valued at $99.95AUD, an Induction amplifier speaker valued at $10.00AUD, a milkshake maker voucher valued at $19.00AUD, an UNO card game valued at $8.50AUD, and a Roomates novelty puppy blanket valued at $6.00AUD. The 'Zombie Marathon Pack' includes a Fuji Instax Mini 8 Instant Camera Kit valued at $99.95AUD, an Audiosonic portable zombie speaker valued at $12.00AUD, a popcorn maker valued at $12.00AUD, a solar string lights coloured string ball valued at $10.00AUD, and a desktop table tennis set valued at $8.00AUD. Prize value is the recommended retail price as at 9th December 2014. Each prize is allocated to a particular individual prize pack at the judges' discretion.
The winners will be notified by email, using the email address provided on the Entry Form.
The Black Dog Institute will make every effort to contact prize winners by email. Entrants are responsible for ensuring all personal information entered in their entry form is correct and complete. The Institute is not responsible for any failure to contact a winner as a result of incorrect information.
If the competition prize is not claimed, or the winner is unable to be located within 1 month from the day that the winner is selected, the Institute may select another winner for the prize.
The Black Dog Institute reserves the right to request the winner to provide proof of identity, proof of age and/or proof of entry validity in order to claim a prize. Proof considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Institute. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
In the event of that any prize item is unavailable, Black Dog Institute reserves the right to substitute a prize item of equal or greater value.
The prizes are NOT transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. Any taxes which may be payable as a consequence of a winner receiving a prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
The Black Dog Institute is not liable for any costs associated with entering the Competition.
To the extent permitted by law, the Institute makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability, merchantability of the prize. The Black Dog Institute will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), or personal injury which is suffered or sustained in relation to this promotion, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
The Black Dog Institute accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or for technical or email issues associated with entering this Competition.
Entries which do not comply with these Terms and Conditions will not be eligible for the Competition.
Fuji and other prize providers are not affiliated with the Competition, and as such hold no responsibility or liability regarding the conduct or administration of the competition.
These terms and conditions will be governed by the laws of Australia and the courts of New South Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any disputes arising therefrom.
Privacy Notice
Personal information collected from you in connection with this Competition is limited to the items on this Entry Form and whatever personal information about yourself or other persons that you choose to provide with your entry.
Personal information obtained from you via the Entry Form will be used solely for the purposes of running the Competition. Personal information about you or other persons that you have included in your entry may be used by the Institute for further education, research, teaching and promotional purposes and may be published. The names of winners and any award recipients and their home State or Territory, will be published on the BITE BACK website and in other promotional material of the Black Dog Institute. Subject to any editing deemed necessary by the Black Dog Institute, we will place the response on the BITE BACK website and other promotional material of the Black Dog Institute.
If you advise the Black Dog Institute that you do not wish to have your name published and/or do not wish to be contacted for promotional or website development purposes, your name will not be published.
The Black Dog Institute reserves the right, at its discretion, not to include the winner’s name and/or personal information about a third person if the Black Dog Institute believes that the inclusion of this identifying information is not appropriate.
