Arena is looking for a male to play the role of ‘Finn’, a handsome and rugged 20-30 year old Australian doctor who has come to do his residency in Salem, specifically to gain skills as a surgeon, working under the supervision of Doctor Jonas – only to find things shaken up the first day he arrives.
Three finalists will be flown to LA where they will participate in a fun 5-day audition process, with the eventual winner receiving a 13 week paid role in ‘Days of our Lives’http://daysofourlives.arenatv.com.auTERMS & CONDITIONS:1. The following definitions apply to these Terms and Conditions:
“Casting Agent” means Corday Productions., Inc, of 3400 W. Olive Ave Ste.171 Burbank, California 91505.
“Closing Date” means 23:59hrs on Sunday 22 March, 2015.
“Commencement Date” means 09:00hrs on Sunday 1 March, 2015. “Determination Date” means 09:00hrs on Wednesday 1 April, 2015 and includes the Major Prize Determination Date.
“Entrant” means a person who enters the Promotion.
“Major Prize” means the major prize offered in the Promotion.
“Major Prize Determination Date” means 09:00hrs on Monday 20 April, 2015. “Major Prize Winner” means the Entrant who wins the Major Prize.
“Prize” means a prize offered in the Promotion. “Prizes” means all of the prizes offered in the Promotion and includes the Major Prize and the Runner-Up Prizes.
“Promoter” means Foxtel Management Pty Ltd ABN 65 068 671 938, of 5 Thomas Holt Drive, North Ryde, NSW 2113.
“Promotion” means this competition.
“Promotion Period” means the period between the Commencement Date and the Closing Date.
“Relevant Parties” means the Promoter and the agencies and companies that are associated with the Promoter or the Promotion.
“Runner-Up Prize” means the runner-up prizes offered in the Promotion. “Runner-Up Prize Winner” means an Entrant who wins a Runner-Up Prize. “Show” means Days of our Lives.
“Supplier” means the supplier of the Prizes.
“Website” means the Days of our Lives page on the Arena TV website, located at
http://www.daysofourlives.arenatv.com.au.
“Winner” means an Entrant who wins a Prize, including in the Unclaimed Prize Determination and including the Major Prize Winner and Runner-Up Prize Winners.
“Unclaimed Prize Determination” has the meaning set out in clause 31. “Unclaimed Prize Determination Date” means Monday 6 April, 2015 (for the Runner-Up Prizes) and Wednesday 22 April, 2015 (for the Major Prize).
2. All times and dates are times and dates in Sydney, which may be AEST or AEDT depending on the date. All times are stated using the 24-hour clock. 00:00hrs is the start of a day and 24:00hrs is the end of a day.
PARTICIPATION
3. The Promotion is conducted by the Promoter.
4. The Promotion is a game of skill, and chance plays no part in determining the Winners.
5. Entry to the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. By entering the Promotion, Entrants accept and acknowledge full responsibility for their decision to participate in the Promotion and to take a Prize if they are a Winner.
6. All entry instructions and prize information published by the Promoter form part of these Terms and Conditions.
WINNERS
PRIZES
26. There will be one (1) Major Prize Winner and three (3) Runner-Up Prize Winners determined from all entries received during the Promotion Period. Each Runner- Up Prize Winner will receive one (1) Runner-Up Prize. A Runner-Up Prize Winner can also win the Major Prize if chosen by the Casting Agent in its final selection.
27. The Runner-Up Prize Winners will be determined on the Determination Date by the Casting Agent at 3400 W Olive Ave, STE170, Burbank, California, USA 91505. The Runner-Up Prize Winners will be the Entrants who, in the sole opinion of the judges, are best suited to the role of ‘Finn’ on the Show.
28. The Major Prize Winner will be determined on the Major Prize Determination Date by the Casting Agent at 3400 W Olive Ave, STE170, Burbank, California, USA 91505.The Major Prize Winner will be the Entrant who, in the sole opinion of the judges, is best suited to the role of ‘Finn’ on the Show based on the screen test in Los Angeles included in the Runner-Up Prize.
29. The Casting Agent’s decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
30. The Winners will be notified by the Promoter and/or the Casting Agent by phone and/or email within two (2) days of the Determination Date.
31. All reasonable attempts will be made to contact the Winners. If a Prize is:
a) not claimed by the Winner by 9:00hrs on the Unclaimed Prize
Determination Date; or b) forfeited for any reason,
the Prize will be awarded to another Entrant in an unclaimed prize determination (the “Unclaimed Prize Determination”), which will take place at 10:00hrs on the Unclaimed Prize Determination Date and will be conducted by the Casting Agent at 3400 W Olive Ave, STE170, Burbank, California, USA 91505.The Winner/s of the Unclaimed Prize Determination will be notified by the Promoter and/or the Casting Agent by phone and/or email within two (2) days of the Unclaimed Prize Determination Date.
32. Each Runner-Up Prize is valued at a maximum of US$9,180.00 and consists of:
a) return economy airfares for the Winner from the Australian capital city nearest to the Winner’s place of residence to Los Angeles Airport (the “Airport”), USA to participate in a 5-day screen test process with the producers of the Show, valued at a maximum of US$7,000; and
b) five (5) nights’ accommodation for the Winner in a 3 star hotel (the “Hotel”), valued at a maximum of US$1,250; and
c) transfers for the Winner between the Airport and the Hotel, valued at a maximum of US$120; and
d) transportation in Los Angeles and meals for 5 nights, 6 days, valued at a maximum of US$810.
THE TOTAL RUNNER-UP PRIZE POOL FOR THIS PROMOTION IS VALUED AT A MAXIMUM OF US$27,540.00
The Major Prize is valued at a maximum of US$36,460.00 and consists of:
one (1) starring role as ‘Finn’ in the Show for a minimum of thirteen (13) episodes, including remuneration of US$1,000 per episode for the Winner (the “Role”), valued at a total of US$13,000; and
b) return economy airfares for the Winner from the Australian capital city nearest to the Winner’s place of residence to Los Angeles Airport, USA, valued at a maximum of US$7,000; and
c) lodging and transportation in Los Angeles, USA, valued at a maximum of US$16,460.
THE TOTAL MAJOR PRIZE POOL FOR THIS PROMOTION IS VALUED AT A MAXIMUM OF $36,460.00
THE TOTAL PRIZE POOL FOR THIS PROMOTION IS VALUED AT A MAXIMUM OF $64,000.00
33. All Prize values are correct as at Friday 20 February, 2015 and are in US dollars. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any variations in the Prize values.
34. If any Prize (or any part of any Prize) is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter will, in its absolute discretion, substitute alternative goods or services of no lesser retail value and/or specification. The Promoter accepts no other liability or responsibility for any loss incurred by any Winner or any other party if any Prize (or any part of any Prize) is unavailable for any reason.
35. Prizes cannot be transferred, refunded or exchanged and, except as expressly permitted by these Terms and Conditions, cannot be taken as a monetary payment.
36. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to allow a Winner to take part in any or all aspects of any Prize, if the Promoter determines, in its absolute discretion, that the Winner is not in the mental or physical condition necessary to be able to safely participate in the Prize or otherwise perform in the Role.
37. Winners are advised that tax implications may arise from them winning a Prize and they should seek independent financial advice prior to accepting a Prize.
38. If the Determination Date or Unclaimed Prize Determination Date is a public holiday, the determination will be conducted on the following business day.
39. Prizes will be awarded to the people named in the winning entries.
40. Unless expressly stated, all costs and expenses associated with taking a Prize become the responsibility of the Winners, including:
a) additional taxes (excluding departure and any other flight-associated taxes);
b) costs associated with inoculations, passports and/or visa applications;
c) additional transfers;
d) travel insurance;
e) spending money;
f) additional meals;
g) transport to/from an airport departure or return point;
h) any extra sightseeing or activities; and
i) all other incidental and ancillary costs incurred by the Winners as a direct
or indirect result of taking a Prize, including American Federation of Television and Radio Artists joining and membership fees and associated costs.
