If you have ever wanted to see your work up on the big screen, this is the opportunity you have been waiting for. As part of Dan & Laura’s Outdoor Movie Night, we are throwing down the gauntlet and calling on all budding Australian film makers to submit your very own original movie to be shown on the big screen.
You need to make a short film (no longer than 2 minutes) about a BIG Hero and send it our way. Your short film must be your own original idea and can be shot on a regular video camera or smartphone, such as an iPhone 5 or equivalent Android device. You also have to be an Australian resident and over the age of 18 or if you are under age, you must have your parents’ permission to enter.
By submitting your short film and entering Hope’s BIG Hero film competition, you’ll be in the running to win an iPad and film prize pack and have your film shown on the big screen at Dan & Laura’s Outdoor Movie Night on October 17.
You can submit your short film from now until Thursday October 15th 2015.
How to enter:
Shoot your BIG Hero short film concept – between 30 seconds and two minutes in length. We recommend the following minimum specifications: 1920 x 1080 @ 24fps H.264 @ 50 mb/s.
Read and accept our terms and conditions then upload your short film to YouTube or Vimeo and fill out the form at the end of this page.
The competition will be open for entries from Tuesday 22 September 2015 until Thursday 15th October 2015. The winning film will be announced and shown at Dan & Laura’s Outdoor Movie Night.
