Conditions of Entry
1. Information about the prize and how to enter forms part of these terms and conditions of entry.
Entry into this promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions of entry by each
entrant. Entry is permitted via Facebook only.
2. The promoter is Flight Centre Travel Group Limited, ABN 25 003 377 188 of 545 Queen Street,
Brisbane, Queensland 4000 ("Promoter").
3. Entry is open to residents of Australia aged 18 years or older, who enter the promotion in the
required manner as stated in these terms and conditions ("Eligible Entrants").
4. Employees of Flight Centre Travel Group Limited, its related bodies corporate, suppliers,
agencies, licensees and their immediate families are not permitted to enter.
Duration of Promotion Period
4. The promotion will commence at 1600 AEST on Monday, 30 November 2015 and will continue
until 1500 AEST on Saturday, 12 December 2015 ("Promotion Period").
How to Enter
6. Eligible Entrants may enter multiple times, but the entrant must tag only one person per entry for
their entry to be valid. Eligible Entrants may not tag themselves in an entry (they must tag
another person).
7. To enter the promotion, Eligible Entrants must successfully tag one (1) person per comment in
the comments section of the daily #givethegiftoftravel post on Facebook.
8. Entrants submit a Prize Draw entry for the person that they tag. The Prize Winner will be
contacted by the Promoter. It is the responsibility of the Prize Winner to give the Prize to the
person they have won the Prize for. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for any disputes
with or between a Prize Winner and an Eligible Entrant.
9. Duplicate identical entries will not be counted as valid entries.
10. Entries will be deemed to be accepted at the time of the Prize Winner selection at 1500 AEST
each day of the Promotion Period.
11. Entries received will be considered final by the Promoters. Entries which are incomplete,
inaccurate, erroneous, illegible, inappropriate, offensive or incomprehensible or which infringe
intellectual property rights will be deemed invalid. Invalid entries include whereby the entrant has
tagged an individual friend more than once per entry.
12. Entries must be received by the Promoters during the Promotion Period. The Promoter does not
accept responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.
13. Any costs associated with accessing the promotion are the responsibility of each entrant and are
dependent on the Internet Service Provider used.
14. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any variation in the value of the Prize.
15. If the Promoter is unable to provide the Prize Winner with the nominated Prize, the Promoter
reserves the right to supply an alternative prize of similar monetary value, subject to any
direction of a lottery authority.
16. If the Prize Winner does not accept any element of the Prize, the Promoter is not obliged to
provide the Prize Winner with a substitute prize.
Selection of Prize Winner
17. There will be twelve (12) Prize Winners. Each day of the Promotion Period, one (1) Prize Winner
from Facebook will be announced on
http://www.flightcentre.com.au/promotions/givethegiftoftravel. The Prize Winners will be chosen
by a random computer generated Prize Draw.
18. The Prize Draw will take place daily at 1500 AEST daily from the 1 December, 2015 to the 12
December, 2015 at Flight Centre Travel Group Limited Head Office, Level 2, 545 Queen Street,
Brisbane QLD 4000.
19. The Prize Winner will be announced on Flight Centre Australia’s website at:
http://www.flightcentre.com.au/promotions/givethegiftoftravel at 1400 AEST each day of the
Prize Draw. The Prize Winner will be notified via Facebook comment on the #givethegiftoftravel
post where they entered into the draw and will be requested to email
social_media@flightcentre.com.
20. To confirm their identity, the Prize Winner may be provided with an image by the Promoter that
must be loaded onto their own social media account.
21. The Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result of the Prize Draw.
22. The Prize Winner will have until 1200 AEST on Friday, 11 March 2015 to claim the Prize.
23. If any Prize has not been claimed by the Prize Winner by 1200 AEST on Friday, 11 March 2015
("the Unclaimed Prize"), an unclaimed Prize Draw for the Unclaimed Prize will occur at 1200
AEST on Monday, 14 March, 2015 ("Unclaimed Prize Draw"). The Unclaimed Prize Draw will
be a random computer generated prize draw. The winner of the Unclaimed Prize Draw will be
notified by social media on the day of the Unclaimed Prize Draw.

25. The total maximum prize pool for this promotion is $35,000 AUD.
26. The Prize Winner must take the Prize as offered. The Prize is not transferable, redeemable,
refundable, and cannot be sold or exchanged for cash. The Prize cannot be used in conjunction
with any other offer.
27. Travel using the Etihad Airways prize must be booked by 14 December 2015. The prize includes
two (2) return economy opendraw flights to anywhere on the Etihad Airways network ex Perth,
Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney via Etihad Airways and domestic flights via Flight Centre for
the winner to reach their nearest departing airport from Adelaide, Canberra, Darwin and Hobart.
Flights are subject to availability in ‘S’ class and travel during peak periods and embargo periods
may be restricted. This includes, but is not limited to the Christmas/New Year period, July and
August. Tickets must be booked at least 30 days prior to travel. Travel must be completed within
3 months from the date of first departure, with no extension. Etihad Airways will allow one (1)
amendment free of charge. Valid for Etihad Airways services with ‘EY’ flight number only. Tickets
are non-transferable, non-upgradeable, non-refundable and non-redeemable for cash or other
goods or services. The following costs are to be borne by the passenger: travel costs to and from
the points of departure, travel insurance, accommodation, excess baggage over and above the
approved 2 bags at 23kg each per person, meals, all taxes, levies and surcharges, and any
other travel related expenses. No Frequent Flyer points will be accrued as part of this prize. Final
value of trip booked using a travel Prize is based on the desired destination (where flexible) and
departure/return dates selected by the Prize Winner. The Prize Winner will be responsible for
payment of any amount in excess of the Prize value. Any tickets which remain unused after the
expiry date are only valid for refund within one year from the date of issue. It is the responsibility
of the prize winner to cover themselves for travel insurance, health requirements and ensure
they have valid passports (6 months minimum) and visas (if required). Travel period is between 1
January 2016 – 31 October 2016.
28. Travel using the Solomon Islands prize must be booked by 31 January 2016 with at least 60
days notice of intended travel date, subject to availability. The prize includes two (2) return
economy flights to Solomon Islands from Brisbane and Sydney via Solomon Airlines and
domestic flights via Flight Centre to reach departing airports from Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth,
Canberra, Darwin and Hobart. Flights are subject to availability. Tickets are non-transferable,
non-upgradeable, non-refundable and non-redeemable for cash or other goods or services. The
prize also includes four (4) nights twin share accommodation at the Heritage Park Hotel and a
full day Savo Island Volcano tour for two (2) people subject to weather conditions. Where
possible an alternative tour will be offered, this will be a City and Battlefields Tour. Offer subject
to availability and accommodator’s discretion at time of booking. Prize does not include transfers,
meals or any items of a personal nature. It is the responsibility of the prize winner to cover
themselves for travel insurance, health requirements and ensure they have valid passports (6

29. Travel using the Virgin Australia prize must be booked by 31 January 2016. The prize includes
two (2) return economy direct flights to and from Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane,
Cairns, Canberra, Darwin and Hobart. Flights are subject to ‘S’ class availability and once
booked are non-transferable and non-refundable. Tickets are not upgradeable and frequent flyer
points and status credits are not guaranteed. All fare conditions relevant to the fare booked apply
including change fees and are non refundable. If ticket value exceeds that of the prize value then
a credit card must be provided for additional payment. Travel period is between 1 December
2015 – 31 October 2016, subject to availability with the following blackout dates unavailable
between 15 December 2015 – 15 January 2016 and 24 March 2016 – 30 March 2016 and 7 April
2016 – 30 April 2016 and 30 June 2016 – 21 July 2016 and 20 September 2016 – 12 October

30. Travel using the Tigerair prize must be booked by 31 January 2016. The prize includes two (2)
return economy flights to Bali Denpasar from Melbourne, Adelaide or Perth via Tigerair and
domestic flights via Flight Centre for the winner to reach their nearest departing airport from
Brisbane, Sydney Canberra, Darwin or Hobart. Flights are subject to ‘L’ class availability and
once booked are non-transferable and non-refundable. All fare conditions relevant to the fare
booked apply including change fees and are non refundable. If ticket value exceeds that of the
prize value then a credit card must be provided for additional payment. Prize winner must bear
any change fees or cancellation costs should travel need to change due to natural weather
events, such as the ash cloud. It is the responsibility of the prize winner to cover themselves for
travel insurance, health requirements and ensure they have valid passports (6 months minimum)
and visas (if required). Travel period is between 23 March 2016 – 23 September 2016, subject to
availability.
31. Travel using the Northern Territory prize must be booked by 31 January 2016. The prize includes

Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart and Darwin. Flights are subject to availability. Tickets are nontransferable,
non-upgradeable, non-refundable and non-redeemable for cash or other goods or

Alice Springs and a full day tour of West MacDonnell Ranges Experience for two (2) people.

availability. Tickets are non-transferable, non-upgradeable, non-refundable and non-redeemable
for cash or other goods or services. The prize also includes four (4) nights twin share
accommodation at Majestic Roof Garden Hotel, Adelaide and a Penfolds Magill Estate Heritage
Tour including wine tasting for two (2) people 18+. Travel period is between 1 December 2015 –

34. Travel using the DriveAway Holidays prize must be booked by 31 December 2015. The prize
includes two (2) return economy flights to Auckland ex Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and
Melbourne via Air New Zealand and domestic flights via Flight Centre for the winner to reach
their nearest departing airport from Canberra, Darwin and Hobart. Flights are subject to
availability. Tickets are not upgradeable and frequent flyer points and status credits are not
guaranteed. All fare conditions relevant to the fare booked apply including change fees and are
non refundable. Prize must be redeemed in one transaction and cannot be kept for more than
one use. Valid for Air New Zealand services with a ‘NZ’ flight number only. If ticket value
exceeds that of the prize value then a credit card must be provided for additional payment. The
prize also includes seven (7) nights motorhome hire in New Zealand to the value of NZ $1000.
Pick up from Auckland, Christchurch or Queenstown. Queenstown pick up incurs a fee of
NZ$95. It is the responsibility of the prize winner to cover themselves for travel insurance, health

35. Travel using the Cook Islands prize must be booked by 31 January 2016. The prize includes two
(2) return economy flights to Rarotonga ex Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne,

Rarotonga to Aitutaki with Air Rarotonga. Flights are subject to availability. Tickets are nontransferable,
non-upgradeable, non-refundable and non-redeemable for cash or other goods or
services. The prize also includes three (3) nights twin share accommodation at The Pacific
Resort Rarotonga and three (3) nights twin share accommodation at The Pacific Aitutaki and an

and Darwin. Flights are subject to availability. Tickets are non-transferable, non-upgradeable,
non-refundable and non-redeemable for cash or other goods or services. The prize also includes
four (4) nights twin share accommodation at one or more of the Innkeepers Hotels in Strahan,
Stanley, Smithton, St Helens or Swansea locations and a National Parks Pass, covering
nineteen (19) Tasmanian National Parks. Accommodation offered is based on standard room
types only and does not include meals, beverages and incidentals. Four (4) nights cannot be
redeemed at one property. Not transferable or redeemable for cash. Travel period is between 1

non-upgradeable, non-refundable and non-redeemable for cash or other goods or
services. The following costs are to be borne by the passenger: travel costs to and from the

their nearest departing airport from Canberra, Darwin or Hobart. Flights are subject to availability
in ‘T’ class. Valid for Emirates services with ‘EK’ flight number only. Tickets are non-transferable,
non-upgradeable, non-refundable and non-redeemable for cash or other goods or services. The
following costs are to be borne by the passenger: travel costs to and from the points of
departure, travel insurance, accommodation, excess baggage over and above the approved 2
bags at 23kg each per person, meals, all taxes, levies and surcharges, and any other travel
related expenses. No Frequent Flyer points will be accrued as part of this prize. All fare
conditions relevant to the fare booked apply, including change fees. Prize must be redeemed in

39. Final value of trip booked using a travel Prize is based on the desired destination (where flexible)
and departure/return dates selected by the Prize Winner. The Prize Winner will be responsible
for payment of any amount in excess of the Prize value.
40. Once a travel Prize has been booked, full amendment and cancellation fees apply to the Prize
Winner as per the standard booking terms and conditions of Flight Centre Travel Group Limited
(available at www.flightcentre.com.au) and the airline conditions of carriage.
41. Travel Prizes may have blackout travel periods as stipulated by provider of the Prize.
42. The Prize does not include transfers, visas, travel insurance, pre/post accommodation, spending
money, excess baggage, excursions/tours, optional activities, freight tipping, extension of stay,
additional passengers, passports, visas or any other items not articulated in the prize details.
43. Any passes, tickets or vouchers issued as part of the Prize are subject to prevailing terms and
conditions of use and any tickets, passes or vouchers are only valid for use within the stated
duration on the passes or tickets issued or the duration of the chosen prize, whichever is earlier.
44. Prize winners agree to allow nominated #givethegiftoftravel Flight Centre consultant to book all
travel.
General
36. The personal information of entrants will be collected to enable the Promoter to administer and
promote this promotion and to contact the Prize Winner (or, if applicable, the winner of an
Unclaimed Prize Draw). Entrants agree that the Promoter may handle their personal information
in accordance with the Promoter's privacy policy, which is available at:
http://www.flightcentre.com.au/privacy. Entrants agree that the Promoter may use their personal
information for marketing purposes. If an entrant does not truthfully provide all requested
personal information, the Promoter may determine that they are not eligible to win the Prize.
37. The Prize Winner consents to the use of their name, suburb of residence, image and social
media name or handle for promotional and marketing purposes. The personal information of the
Prize Winner and their travel companion(s) (if applicable) may be provided to others assisting,
including prize suppliers and deliverers, and to authorities that regulate this promotion.
38. All entrants who submit any entry to the Promoter: (a) grant the Promoter and its licensees and
assignees a non-exclusive licence to exercise all rights in perpetuity throughout the world in the
entry material and all other material provided by the entrant to the Promoter pursuant to this
promotion at any time; and (b) represent and warrant that the exercise of the rights granted to
the Promoter in these terms and conditions will not infringe the rights of any third parties; and (c)
indemnify the Promoter against any loss or damage resulting from any breach of the foregoing
representation and warranty.
39. By entering this competition entrants agree to allow the Promoter to repost their
entry/submission on the Promoter’s facebook, twitter, instagram, vine, youtube, linkedin and
pinterest accounts, the Promoter’s website (www.flightcentre.com.au) and blog within the
Promoter’s electronic direct mail (EDM) communication pieces.
40. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible or liable for:
1. inaccurate/incorrect transcription of entry information;
2. purported entries that are not received for any reason, including because they are lost, misdirected or
stolen, or that are received, but are late, illegible, incomplete, sent with insufficient postage (where
entry is by post), or sent other than as directed in the entry instructions;
3. any problems or technical failures of any kind, including malfunction of any telephone network or lines,
computer online systems or network, servers or providers, computer equipment, or software;
4. the unavailability or inaccessibility of any service whether or not caused by traffic congestion on the
Internet or at any website;
5. unauthorised human intervention in any part of the competition;
6. electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the competition;
7. any loss suffered or sustained, to person or property and including, but not limited to, consequential
(including economic) loss arising in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any
goods or services by any person to a Prize Winner and, where applicable, to any family/persons
accompanying a Prize Winner; or
8. any injury or damage to persons or property, including to the participant's or any other person's
computer related to, or resulting from, participation or downloading any materials in this competition.
41. The Promoter will not be liable for personal injury suffered during participation in the promotion
or use of the Prize, except to the extent directly caused by the Promoter's negligence. If
requested by The Promoter, the Prize Winner(s), and his or her guests, must sign and return any
