Melbourne’s powerhouse The Peep Tempel will perform one last Melbourne show at Estonian House, on Thursday, February 18th, before they head back to the studio to record the follow-up to their critically acclaimed sophomore release ‘Tales’. Joining them will be Synth-punk rebels Ausmuteants and Psychedelic six-piece The Dead Heir.
Prepare for yourself for a night of blistering garage rock, when the unhinged, budding cult idols, Ausmuteants, who were raised on a diet of seminal Avant-punk, weave their ’60s songwriting ideas, disco rhythms and a subtle brand of theft, into fine meaty pop songs live. Ausmuteants create a specific, slovenly universe with their music, one that needs to be seen live.
Opening the night is psychedelic maelstrom, The Dead Heir. Fresh off the release of their 10″ EP ‘The Dead Heir Go Wild’ named by Tone Deaf as “one of their favourite EPs to come out at the end of the 2015”, the band have just released their third single ‘Hand’, reminiscent of early 90’s alt rock melded with 60’s psych drone. Known for their hypnotic and energetically raw live show the boys have huge plans for the coming year with their debut LP touted for 2016.
