Terms & Conditions
By entering the APN Outdoor “Win A Trip To The Galapagos Islands” competition, you agree to the following conditions:
Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry. Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
The promoter is APN Outdoor Limited (ABN 49 059 604 278) of Level 4, 33 Saunders Street, Pyrmont, NSW, 2009 (Promoter).
Entry is open to Australian residents 18+ (Eligible Entrants) excluding directors, management, employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and its related bodies corporate. All entrants must work in the Australian news and media industry.
The promotion commences at 9am AEST on Tuesday 19 July 2016 and closes at 5pm AEST on Friday 30 September 2016 (Promotion Period).
The Prize is not transferrable.
Competition Entry
To enter the draw, Eligible Entrants must complete the following steps during the Promotion Period:
Be a client or advertiser of APN Outdoor Limited in Australia.
Fill in a “Win A Trip To The Galapagos Islands” form (The Entry Form) received at an APN Outdoor event or presentation during the Promotion Period.
Eligible entries from The Entry Form will go into the draw for the Major Prize.
The Entry Form is an entry form to be completed by the recipients. Recipients need to state their name, company, title and email.
To enter the draw the form must be completed and provided to your APN Outdoor representative. If the form is not returned to your APN Outdoor representative you will not be eligible to enter the draw.
The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and Eligible Entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right to disqualify any Eligible Entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting an entry that is not (in the reasonable opinion of the Promoter) in accordance with these terms and conditions. Failure by the promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
The Promoter is not responsible for any technical malfunction of any communications network or any lost, late, delayed, ineligible, incomplete, corrupted or misdirected entries, howsoever caused.
Judging
The winners will be randomly selected by the Promoter on Tuesday 4 October 2016 at 9am AEST.
Winners will be notified by email or phone by 5pm AEST on Tuesday 4 October 2016 .
The Promoter’s decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result.
It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winners must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize.
Should the Winner be unable to accept the prize as outlined in the terms and conditions, the Promoter will redraw the major prize.
The Prizes
There is one Major Prize. Total prize pool is $45,000 AUD based on the recommended retail value at the time of printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prize.
The Major Prize consists of The Winner receiving a “Trip to the Galapagos Islands”. Return flights and accommodation in Guayaquil, Ecuador and 10 day trip with Galapagos aboard the National Geographic Endeavour.
The Winner is responsible for organising relevant travel Visas that ensures entry to Ecuador.
The Winner is responsible for notifying The Promoter of any company policies or procedures that would deem them ineligible to accept prizes which includes but is not limited to ability to travel to Ecuador from Australia during November 2016.
Entrants will receive return flights paid for and accommodation. The Promoter will decide the airline and accommodation.
The prize is not redeemable for cash or other goods and services.
The winning prize must be used on the specified date of 18 November 2016 and is not transferrable.
In the event the National Geographic Endeavour is unable to sail, APN Outdoor will endeavour to work with the prize winner to facilitate an alternative package.
In the event of a prize winner being unable to satisfy these terms and conditions or forfeiting or not claiming a prize within 5 days of being notified by the Promoter that they are a prize winner, the Promoter reserves the right to redraw the prize. It is the responsibility of the entrant to ensure their eligibility to enter the competition.
If any act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and conditions, the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligations and the Promoter reserves the right (subject to any applicable law) to cancel, terminate or modify or suspend this promotion.
The Promoter, its related bodies corporate and their respective officers, employees, contractors and agents (Promotion Parties) will not be liable for any losses, damages, expenses, costs or personal injuries arising out of this promotion, the promotion of this promotion or the use of any prize, including but not limited to any breach of these terms and conditions, contract or tort (including negligence) and any other common law, equitable or statutory remedy (Damages) whatsoever, including but not limited to direct, indirect and consequential Damages, including Damages that cannot reasonably be considered to arise naturally and in the ordinary course of things, even if those Damages were in the contemplation of the Promotion Parties.
The exclusion of liability does not apply to limit or exclude liability: a) for personal injury or death suffered or sustained in connection with the supply of goods or services which are supplied by the Promoter in the ordinary course of business. To remove doubt: third party goods or services, which other than in connection with this promotion, are in the normal course of business supplied by a third party unrelated to the Promotion Parties
Promoter in the ordinary course of business; or b) to the extent it is not permissible at law to limit or exclude liability in the manner contemplated
APN Outdoor collects personal information about entrants for the purpose of running this competition. Entry details remain the property of the Promoter. Eligible Entrants consent to the Promoter using personal information provided in connection with this promotion for the purposes of facilitating the conduct of the promotion and awarding any prizes.
