RACV and Melbourne Food and Wine Festival are offering one lucky RACV member the chance to host a private dinner party for 30 at the festival’s new House of Food and Wine.
The prize includes exclusive use of the private dining room for 30 guests on Monday 3 April.
Six dishes will be served with matching wines and a VIP bag of goodies, including a signed copy of chef Dan Hong’s cookbook Mr Hong for each guest. Personal chef meet-and-greets throughout the evening will include meeting past MFWF MasterClass presenter Dan Hong and his mum Angie, along with other well-known Australian chefs.
The winner will also receive a double pass to MasterClass over the preceding weekend (Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 April). This includes eight MasterClass sessions with tastings and access to the VIP Hosting area during breaks, where complimentary wine and presenter meet-and-greets will be available.
The total prize value is $12,850.
The festival’s House of Food and Wine aims to celebrate food, wine, hospitality, design and art. Tucked down a laneway off Little Lonsdale Street in the CBD, it is a move away from the festival’s traditional pop-up Hub, and will offer curated food and wine experiences across the 10 days of the festival (31 March to 9 April).
It is designed to reflect a home, complete with dining room (event space), lounge room (the House bar), garden (laneway) and a gallery.
The gallery will exhibit a food-meets-art collection by illustrator Anna Vu of Good Food Crap Drawing. The House bar will offer Victorian wines from artisan producers and small plates inspired by chefs from past festivals.

Any RACV member who sends their name, RACV member number, address and daytime phone number to RoyalAuto MFWF Private Dinner Competition, 550 Princes Hwy, Noble Park North, VIC 3174 or completes an online entry form, available from racv.com.au/royalautocomps, during the Promotion Period will be entered in the draw. Competition opens at 12.01am on Saturday, 18 February 2017 and closes 11.59pm on Monday, 13 March 2017 (the Promotion Period).
3. Competition entry is restricted to one entry per person.
4. This competition is won by chance and entrants are not judged on the quality of their entry.
5. All employees of the promoter or its related bodies corporate and the immediate families of such employees are ineligible to enter. The competition is restricted to residents of the State of Victoria.
6. Any eligible RACV member can enter the competition once only.
7. The draw will take place at Thursday, 16 March 2017 at 11am at 550 Princes Hwy, Noble Park North, Victoria.
8. The prize is: MFWF private dinner party for 30. Total prize package: $12,850
9. The first valid entry drawn will win the prize.
10. The winner will be notified by email and/or telephone, and the winner’s details will be published in RoyalAuto May 2017 and on racv.com.au/royalautocomps.
11. Each prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged or taken as cash.
12. The promoter’s decision is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.

16. The personal information submitted in an entry is collected by the Promoter and will be used for the purpose of conducting the promotion.
