#MySFO Contest Terms and ConditionsThese Contest Terms and Conditions form the conditions of entry to the #MySFO Contest and set out all of the information you need to know regarding the #MySFO Contest. Your participation in the #MySFO Contest constitutes your acceptance of the Contest Terms and Conditions.
Contest Name: #MySFO Contest.
Contest Sponsor: San Francisco International Airport (SFO).
Prize Sponsor: United Airlines, Inc (United Airlines).

Judging Details: Entries will be judged by a panel of 3 judges comprised of 1 individual from the Contest Sponsor’s marketing team, 1 individual from San Francisco Travel Association and 1 outside consultant. Judging criteria: This is a game of skill, so each entry will be judged on creativity. Chance plays no part in the outcome.

Prize: 2 round-trip economy class tickets from Sydney to San Francisco on United Airlines’ non-stop service. The prize is valid for travel until June 20, 2018.
Prize Restrictions: See the Contest Terms and Conditions. The Prize is not transferrable, exchangeable and/or redeemable for cash. Notification and Publication of Winner The winner will be announced on the Contest Sponsor’s Facebook page on 01AUG2017. The winner will also be notified via the contact information provided to the Contest Sponsor. Prize Claim Date The winner has up to 72 hours from the time of notification to claim the Prize.
1. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
1.1. To be eligible for entry into the #MySFO Contest, you must:
(a) be a resident of the State of New South Wales (NSW), Australia for the Contest Period (as defined in clause 3.1 below);
(b) be eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry; and
(c) be an authorized holder of a Facebook account or an email account.
1.2. The following individuals are NOT eligible to participate in the #MySFO Contest:
(a) an employee, officer, director, agent or immediate family member (spouse, parent, child, sibling or respective spouses) of the Contest Sponsor, the San Francisco International Airport Commission or the City and County of San Francisco;
(b) an employee, officer, director, agent, or immediate family member (spouse, parent, child, sibling or respective spouses) of United Airlines; and/or
(c) an employee, officer, director, agent or immediate family member (spouse, parent, child, sibling or respective spouses) of any and all other companies associated with the #MySFO Contest.
1.3. The promotion is offered and valid in NSW, Australia only.
2. NO ENTRY FEE
2.1. There is no entry fee to participate in the #MySFO Contest.
3. CONTEST PERIOD
3.1. The #MySFO Contest commences on 30Jun2017 and closes on 15Jul2017. All entries, must be received between 10:00am AEST on 30Jun2017 and 11:59pm AEST on 15Jul2017 (Contest Period).
4. HOW TO ENTER
4.1. To enter the #MySFO Contest, you must, during the Contest Period:
(a) Answer the following competition question: Tell us what you love about SFO and the City by the Bay, and why you’d like to visit? (Competition Question).
(b) Read and accept the Contest Terms and Conditions.
(c) Submit your answer to the Competition Question using one of the following options:
(i) via Facebook by using the #MySFO Contest widget on the Contest Sponsor’s Facebook page at facebook.com/flysfo, in accordance with clause 4.3 below;
(ii) via the Contest Sponsor’s website at
www.flysfo.com/mySFO, or
(iii) via the alternate entry method in accordance with clause 4.4 below.
4.2.
Only one entry per entrant is allowed.Facebook Entry
4.3. To enter the #MySFO Contest through Facebook, you must access the #MySFO Contest Facebook widget via the SFO Facebook page at facebook.com/flySFO, and then do the following:
(a) answer the Competition Question;
(b) read and accept the Contest Terms and Conditions;
(c) fill in the key information fields including your full name, age, email address and phone number; and
(d) click the submit icon to complete your entry into the #MySFO Contest.
Alternate Entry
4.4. In lieu of entering the #MySFO Contest through Facebook, you may enter the #MySFO Contest by emailing your answer to the Contest Sponsor.
4.5. To enter the #MySFO Contest through the alternate entry option, you must:
(a) answer the Competition Question and email your answer to socialmedia@flysfo.com;
(b) ensure that “#MySFO Contest” appears in the subject line of the email; and
(c) include your full name, age, phone number, City and State of residence, and email address in the body of the email.
4.6. You may only use the alternate entry option if you do not enter the Contest via the Contest Sponsor’s Facebook page or website.
4.7. All entries must be submitted from a valid Facebook account or email account. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of an individual who has submitted a Facebook entry or alternate entry, the Contest Sponsor may deem an entry as being submitted by the authorized account holder of the Facebook account or email account, namely the natural person assigned a Facebook account or email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address.
4.8. The Contest Sponsor accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.
5. ENTRIES
5.1. By entering the #MySFO Contest, you warrant that your entry is your original work.
5.2. Your entry must not include any content that:
(a) infringes the intellectual property rights of another person;
(b) is obscene, offensive, defamatory, discriminatory, indecent, objectionable or inappropriate;
(c) contravenes any law; or
(d) is identical in full or in part to content which you have previously submitted in relation to another competition or contest.
5.3. By submitting your entry to the Contest Sponsor, you agree to assign all intellectual property rights in it to the Contest Sponsor and consent to the Contest Sponsor using your entry in any manner it wishes (including modifying, adapting or publishing the entry, whether in original or modified form, in whole or in part or not at all), without compensation.
5.4. The Contest Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry, and prohibit an entrant’s further participation in the #MySFO Contest if it considers an entry to be in breach of clauses 5.1 or 5.2 above.
6. WINNER DETERMINATION
6.1. The #MySFO Contest is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Judging Details and Criteria
6.2. All entries will be judged by a panel of three (3) judges comprised of one (1) individual from the Contest Sponsor’s marketing team, one (1) individual from San Francisco Travel Association and one (1) individual from an outside consultant (the Judges).
6.3. The winner will be the single entry which, in the sole opinion of the Judges, is the most creative. Judging Date
6.4. The Judges will confer by telephone and/or email to determine the winner of the #MySFO Contest by July 28, 2017.
6.5. The Judges’ decision in relation to any aspect of the #MySFO Contest is final and binding on each person who enters the #MySFO Contest and no correspondence will be entered into with the Judges regarding a particular entry, the judging process or the outcome of the #MySFO Contest.
7. PRIZE DETAILS
7.1. The prize is two (2) round-trip economy class tickets from Sydney to San Francisco on United Airlines (Prize).
7.2. The Prize is not transferrable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
7.3. The Prize has an approximate retail market value of USD4,000 (approximately USD2,000 per ticket).
7.4. The Prize will be valid for travel between July 22, 2017 and June 20, 2018, and is only valid on a Sydney to San Francisco non-stop, return flight with the Prize Sponsor.
7.5. The Prize winner will be presented with an award letter that will include how to contact the Prize Sponsor, and will contain booking instructions. Once issued, tickets are non-endorsable and non-transferable. Airline seats are subject to availability and space is capacity controlled. The Prize winner and companion must travel together and neither one is entitled to frequent flyer mileage or limousine transfers. Airport taxes and passenger fees will be paid by the Contest Sponsor. The Prize is subject to the terms, conditions and restrictions stipulated by the Prize Sponsor.
7.6. The Prize winner is solely responsible for:
(a) his or her use and acceptance of the Prize, including complying with all relevant federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations;
(b) all costs and expenses associated with the use of the Prize not specified herein as already being provided (including spending money, currency, tours, accommodation, food and additional travel expenses including any travel insurance); and
(c) any and all applicable federal, state and local taxes and fees/charges (including income and withholding taxes).
7.7. The Prize winner and companion are responsible for ensuring that they have valid passports with at least six (6) months validity after the intended return date, travel documentation, vaccinations (if applicable) and checking for travel warnings and any potential travel hazards.
7.8. The Contest Sponsor recommends that the Prize winner and companion obtain travel insurance to protect against additional costs arising out of unforeseen circumstances however such arrangements are the sole responsibility and cost of the Prize winner and companion.
7.9. The Contest Sponsor and Prize Sponsor:
(a) are not responsible for acts of third parties, acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, work stoppage or any other natural disaster outside their control that may cause the cancellation or postponement of awarding the Prize; and
(b) shall not be liable for any loss, damage, personal injury, death or loss or damage to property which is suffered or sustained in connection with the #MySFO Contest or the Prize, except to the extent that liability cannot be excluded by law.
8. NOTIFICATION
8.1. The Prize winner will be announced on the Contest Sponsor’s Facebook page before July 30, 2017 AEST. The Prize winner will also be notified via the contact information provided at the time of entry to the #MySFO Contest.
8.2. The Prize winner will have seventy two (72) hours from either the Facebook notification or the email notification, whichever is shorter, to claim the Prize. To claim the prize, the Prize winner must respond to the email and acknowledge they accept the prize. After which a prize letter with booking instructions and details will be emailed.
8.3. Within ten (10) calendar days of notification, the Prize winner must sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and a Liability/Publicity Release Form. If the Prize winner does not complete these forms within 10 calendar days of notification, the Prize winner will be disqualified as the winner of the #MySFO Contest, and the Contest Sponsor may award the Prize to the next best entry.
8.4. The Contest Sponsor reserves the right to verify, or request the Prize winner to verify, his or her identity, age and/or residency. Identification considered suitable for verification and proof is at the discretion of the Contest Sponsor.
8.5. If, after making reasonable efforts, the Contest Sponsor cannot contact the Prize winner, or if the Prize is not accepted within the time specified in clause 8.2 above, the Contest Sponsor will deem that prize winner’s entry invalid, and reserves the right to award the Prize to the next best entry.
9. WAIVER OF LIABILITY
9.1. By entering the #MySFO Contest, you:
(a) agree that these Contest Terms and Conditions apply to your entry;
(b) represent and warrant that you have read and understood, and agree to be bound by, these Contest Terms and Conditions;
(c) waive any and all claims against the Contest Sponsor, Prize Sponsor and County of San Francisco, and each of its representatives, and any and all other firms associated with the #MySFO Contest, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives (collectively, “Released Parties”) for any injury, damage or loss that may arise, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from the participation in the #MySFO Contest or from the receipt or use of the Prize or activity related to the receipt or use of the Prize; and
(d) consent to being contacted by the Contest Sponsor, the Prize Sponsor and/or their respective designees by telephone, e-mail and/or postal mail for marketing purposes.
10. RELEASE OF LIABILITY FOR FACEBOOK
10.1. The #MySFO Contest is sponsored by the Contest Sponsor. Entrants acknowledge that the #MySFO Contest is not promoted by Facebook, nor does Facebook in any way sponsor, endorse or administer the #MySFO Contest.
10.2. By entering into the #MySFO Contest, you waive any and all claims against Facebook and its representatives, and all of its respective officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives for any injury, damage or loss that may arise, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from the participation in the #MySFO Contest or from the receipt or use of the Prize or activity related to the receipt or use of the Prize.
10.3. By entering into the #MySFO Contest, you acknowledge and agree that you are providing information to the Contest Sponsor, and not to Facebook.
11. GENERAL CONDITIONS
11.1. The Prize winner, by accepting the Prize:
(a) grants to the Contest Sponsor, the Prize Sponsor and each of their respective designees the right to publicize the winner’s name, hometown, and photograph for promotional purposes in any media without further payment or consideration; and
(b) releases the Contest Sponsor and Administrations (San Francisco International Airport) and Prize Sponsor (United Airlines Australia) from all claims arising out of the use of such attributes.
11.2. By entering into the #MySFO Contest, you consent and agree that:
(a) your contact information will be provided to and shared between the Contest Sponsor and Prize Sponsor in the United States; and
(b) you may be contacted by both the Contest Sponsor and the Prize Sponsor.
11.3. By entering into the #MySFO Contest and submitting entries generated by a script, macro, or other automated means, you agree that the Released Parties are not responsible for:
(a) stolen, late, incomplete, inaccurate, misdirected, lost, damaged, delayed, postage-due or garbled entries, email or mail;
(b) any lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP) or website;
(c) other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties;
(d) other errors or problems of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, network (such as Facebook), computer, typographical or printing; or
(e) otherwise relating to or in connection with the #MySFO Contest, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the #MySFO Contest, the processing of entries, or the announcement of the Prize or in any #MySFO Contest related materials.

11.5. The Contest Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to amend, modify, cancel or suspend the #MySFO Contest (or any portion thereof) should any virus, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or any other causes give rise to any security, fairness, integrity, corruption or similar issues in respect of the proper operation of the #MySFO Contest (or any portion thereof).
11.6. These Contest Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California.
