Joanna Murray-Smith’s (The Female of the Species) play places the renowned author of the Ripley series Patricia Highsmith front and centre in a story that may or may not be of her own making. A semi-recluse in Switzerland, she is visited by a young man from her publishing house ostensibly on a mission to persuade her to write one last novel. The play is full of twists and turns, true to Highsmith’s iconic style.
