7. Competition Period close Date & Time

8. Entry Restrictions
a) Entrants [and their nominee/s] must be 18 years of age or over at the time of entry.
b) Entrants must have consent from their Nominees(s) to enter
c) Entrants [and their nominee/s] must be able to participate in the challenge on a date as per the Promoter’s instruction between the dates of Monday 30th October 2017 and Friday 10th November 2017.
d) Entrants [and their nominee/s] must be able to participate in the challenge by attending in-person the Hughesy & Kate studio at KIIS101.1, Level 2, 21-31 Goodwood Street, Richmond, VIC 3121.
e) Any Nominee/s who are unable to be contacted or refuse the segment to go to air will forfeit the prize. The segment must go to air for the Entrant to be eligible to be a winner (this will be
at ARN Content’s discretion).
Online entry:
During the Competition Period:
(a) listeners will be invited via Station on-air commercials and in
show solicits to visit the Station Website/s and complete the online entry form including by providing their contact details as well as their Nominee’s contact details and by answering a series of 50 word or less questions (at promoter’s discretion) including: “Tell us about your friend you want to compete with & why you make a great team?” What quiz categories are you confident in?” within the time period specified on each day
(b) Each entry submitted by the time specified by the Station will be individually reviewed by representatives of the Station. The Station will select the entry it deems to be the “best” (in its absolute discretion) from all valid entries received within the time period specified. The Station will then contact up to five (5) of the ‘best’ entrants and their nominees and invite them to participate in the Challenge on a date specified by the promoter at their discretion at the Hughesy & Kate studio at KIIS101.1, Level 2, 21-31 Goodwood Street, Richmond, VIC 3121.
(c) The Challenge contest segment may be pre-recorded or done live in show between AEDST 4pm-6pm.
Entrants may submit as many entries as they wish however each entry must be submitted via a separate online entry form and
contain a different answer to the question and may only win one prize each.
Registration:
Each day during the Competition Period, the Station will encourage registration by potential challengers via commercial airtime and in show solicits. Each potential challenger wishing to be registered in the competition must complete in full, a registration form available at the Station Website as outlined in (9): How to Enter.
The Station will select up to five challengers (5) who it believes, based on valid registrations received:
(a) have an appeal for radio;
(b) are capable of performing the challenges on the Challenge Date/s and Challenge Location; and
(c) are consistent with the Station’s style of irreverence and humour.
Challenge details:
Up to five (5) finalists and their nominees who have been selected by Hughesy & Kate will be required to complete one or more Challenges as set by Hughesy & Kate. Each weekday during the Competition Period, the Station will conduct challenges at various times as specified by the Station.
The challenges set will be at the promotor’s discretion. They may involve the challengers competing as a team of two (2) with one (1)
challenger answering a set of quiz-based questions while their teammate is in isolation and cannot hear the questions or answers supplied. The questions posed to challengers will be at ARN’s discretion and will not require the Entrant’s approval prior to the Challenge. The challenger in isolation will be provided with two (2) options – to accept an undisclosed amount of prize money as determined by correct answers supplied by their teammate; or accept a contract from Hughesy & Kate with an undisclosed amount of prize money.
If the challengers satisfactorily complete the challenge within the time specified and in accordance with any other criteria for success as specified by the Station (and as determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion), the challenger and entrant will win a prize.
Should the challenger refuse, or fail to satisfactorily complete the challenge within the time specified, they will forgo any prize and the Station will not be required to conduct the challenge again. The Station’s decision as to the result of the challenge is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Challenge dates: Between Monday 30th October 2017 and Friday 10th November 2017 at promoter’s discretion.
Challenge location: KIIS101.1 Studio, Level 2, 21-31 Goodwood Street, Richmond, VIC 3121.
Challengers may be required to complete and sign an indemnity/waiver prior to taking part in any challenge.
12. Judging Criteria
Each valid entry will be individually judged (by representatives of the Promoter) based on, among other things, creativity, humour, suitability for radio
13: Prize Details
There are up to five (5) prizes to be won, as follows:
Major prizes: will be cash between the amounts of $1 to $10,000 AUD
14: Total Prize Value
Up to $11,000 inc GST
15: Winner Notification
Winners will be notified:
- at the time of winning
16: Prize Claim and Delivery
Prize must be claimed within three (3) months of winning on-air.
The Major Prize will be transferred to the winner’s bank account via electronic funds transfer.
17. Special conditions
By entering this competition, Entrants agree that:
• All photos, videos or other material submitted as part of their
entry and owned by them;
• Materials do not contain images or copyright materials of
anyone else unless they have the express consent of that
person(s);
• Materials do not contain anything which is (as determined by
the Promoter in its discretion) obscene, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate.
For the avoidance of doubt, the Promoter reserves the right to invalidate any entry which does not meet the criteria above.
By entering this competition, Entrants grant to the Promoter a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty free licence to use the materials for the purposes of conducting the competition and for marketing and promotional purposes.
