Entry is only open to residents of NSW, VIC, SA, WA, QLD and ACT. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. The winners will be drawn on 01/02/18 at HOYTS Head Office. Winners will be contacted by 05/02/18 via email where prize delivery and fulfilment will be arranged.
To enter, individuals must, during the Promotional Period, be an activated HOYTS Rewards member, log in to HOYTS Rewards via
www.hoyts.com.au when purchasing on line or have their membership card scanned in cinema when purchasing for ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’.
Members can only accumulate 1 point per session of ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ regardless of the number of tickets purchased by the member for any session.
The member who has the highest number of points at the end of the promotion period will be deemed the winner. In the event of a tie, the eligible member’s session dates and times will be compared, to confirm which member reached the highest points first. In the case where members are still tied in terms of session dating, members will be given the opportunity to submit in 25 words or less why they are the biggest fan. All tie breaker entries will be judged individually on skill; and 1 (one) major winner will be chosen at the judge's discretion based on the originality of the entry for the major prize followed by 2 (two) runners up.

The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason a/the winner does not take a/the prize (or an element of the prize) by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize (or that element of the prize) will be forfeited.
A draw for any unclaimed prizes may take place on 03/05/18 at the same time and place as the original draw, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. In the case of a winner, they will be notified in writing within two (2) business days of the draw.
Entrants must be opted in to receive email communications. If the winning member is not opted in for email ALL of an entrant’s entries will be disqualified and forfeiture of any right to a prize.
Winners will be notified via email.
The winner and runners up may be required to sign a standard Prize Acceptance Form in the form required by the Promoter and/or prize suppliers prior to receiving any component of the Prize.
The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
In the event that any prize item is unavailable, the Promoter and any third party associated with the competition, including without limitation the prize suppliers reserve the right, subject to the approval of any relevant trade lottery authority, to substitute a prize item of equal or greater value.
If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) and prize suppliers exclude all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of the prize.
The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and as required, to regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this information. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
