Queensland Theatre will kick off its 2018 season with a razor-sharp dinner party rom-com. Off the back of a sold-out world premiere, acclaimed playwright Nakkiah Lui brings her play, Black is the New White, to a Queensland audience.
It tackles race, family, politics, and love in a digital age where Twitter is a battleground.
It’s complicated, satirical and bitingly funny, showcasing Lui’s passion for authentic storytelling.
Quest Community News has 15 double passes to Queensland Theatre’s first three shows of the year, valued at $384 each. The double pass includes tickets to Black is the New White, The 39 Steps — tongue-in-cheek film noir meets zany comedy — and William Shakespeare’s classic dark comedy Twelfth Night.
Crowded House’s Tim Finn has composed songs to help bring Shakespeare’s characters to life on stage, along with an all-star cast including Jason Klarwein, Christen O’Leary and Jessica Tovey.

The 39 Steps: Monday 19 March, 6:30pm
Twelfth Night: Saturday 28 April, 7:30pm.
