When will the Competition start and end?
The Competition starts at 12.01am (AEST) on 01/05/2018 and ends at 11.59pm (AEST) on 31/07/2018 (the Competition Period).
Who can enter?
The Competition is open to:
Australian businesses that purchase Reflex paper (not for re-sale) either directly from the Promoter or from one of the Promoter’s distributors (Commercial Customers); and
Australian individuals and consumers (Retail Customers).
You must be an Australian resident who can attend (or can nominate an eligible proxy to attend) an event on a date to be confirmed between 17/08/2018 and 21/09/2018 at a location to be confirmed by the Promoter.
If you are entering on behalf of a Commercial Customer, you must be a principal or staff member of the Commercial Customer who is aged 18 or over and is authorised to represent the Commercial Customer in all aspects of the Competition.
If you are entering as a Retail Customer and you are under 18, you must obtain approval from your parent/guardian before you enter.
Who cannot enter?
Directors, officers, management and employees of:
the Promoter; or
the agencies or companies or participating stores associated with this Competition; or
any businesses (excluding Commercial Customers) that purchase Reflex paper for the purpose of re-sale in their stores or on their websites (Reflex Distributors).
and their immediate families.
Where will the Competition run?
All stores in all Australian states and territories that sell Reflex A4 80gsm reams or Reflex unwrapped cartons, including online stores (the Participating Stores).
Do I need to buy anything to enter?
Yes. During the Competition Period, you need to buy a minimum of two (2) A4 Reflex reams (including Ultra White, Recycled, colours) or one (1) carton of Reflex unwrapped) (equivalent to five (5) reams) from a Participating Store in one transaction (Qualifying Purchase) to be eligible to enter the Competition.
Each Reflex ream purchased in the one transaction equals one (1) entry into the Major Prize Draw.
Each carton of Reflex unwrapped purchased in the one transaction is equal to five (5) entries into the Major Prize Draw.
Each Qualifying Purchase equals one entry into the Instant Win Prize Draw.
Examples:
If you buy one (1) ream of Reflex A4 Ultra White in one transaction, you are ineligible to enter.
If you buy two (2) reams of Reflex Ultra White in one transaction, you will be eligible to enter the Major Prize draw two (2) times and the Instant Win Prize Draw once (1).
If you buy four (4) cartons of Reflex unwrapped in one transaction, you will be eligible to enter the Major Prize Draw twenty (20) times and the Instant Win Prize Draw once (1).
You must retain your original receipt (or for Commercial Customers, the equivalent of an original receipt showing proof of payment, such as a remittance advice) as proof of your Qualifying Purchase which must clearly identify:
the Participating Store where you made the Qualifying Purchase; and
the date of the Qualifying Purchase or, in respect of Commercial Customers, the date on which payment of the Qualifying Purchase was made (which must be during the Competition Period).
Entry instructions
After you have made a Qualifying Purchase, you must, during the Competition Period, visit
www.reflexwinamillion.com.au (the Website) and fill out and submit the online entry form, including uploading an image of the Qualifying Purchase receipt (or equivalent of proof of payment, if you are entering on behalf of a Commercial Customer) and all other requested information.
When submitting your form, you will need to specify how many Reflex reams you have purchased in the one transaction, or in the case of unwrapped cartons the equivalent number of Reflex reams (each carton is equivalent to 5 reams), which will equal the amount of your entries into the Major Prize Draw.
Once your online form is successfully submitted you will be entered into the Major Prize Draw the amount of times equivalent to the number of Reflex reams you purchased, and instantly receive an online message onscreen informing you if you have or have not provisionally won an instant win prize. If you do win an Instant Prize Draw, your Qualifying Purchase will subsequently be verified before delivery of your instant win prize.
For the avoidance of doubt, if a Commercial Customer is determined as a prize winner, the principal of the relevant winning Commercial Customer will be deemed the recipient of the relevant prize on behalf of the Commercial Customer, irrespective of who submitted the entry.
How are instant win prizes awarded?
There are 50 instant win prizes to be awarded based on predetermined times during the Competition Period selected by a computerised random system (Instant Win Prize Draw) at Immediate Marketing Communications, 191 Ferrars Street, Southbank VIC 3006 (Immediate).
How many winners will there be and how will they be chosen?
There will be a total of up to 51 winners – 50 instant win prize winners and 1 major prize winner.
The major prize draw will be held at Immediate at 11am (AEST) on 03/08/2018 (Major Prize Draw).
The first valid entry drawn randomly from the entries received during the Competition Period (including instant win prize winning entries) will win the major prize. The Promoter may draw additional reserve entries and record them in order, in case the winning entry/entrant is deemed invalid, or a prize is unclaimed (Major Prize Reserve Entrants).
What can I win?
There are up to 51 prizes available – 50 instant win prizes and 1 major prize.
Instant Win Prize
Each instant win prize is a $100 Visa Gift Card.
Except for South Australian residents, instant win prizes are limited to:
one instant win prize per person (for Retail Customers); or
one instant win prize per Commercial Customer irrespective of how many principals/authorised representatives enter the competition on behalf of the Commercial Customer.
Major Prize
The major prize is a chance to win up to $1,000,000. The major prize winner and one companion of their choosing will have the opportunity to attend an event at a location and on a date to be confirmed by the Promoter between 17/08/2018 and 21/09/2018 (the Event). The Promoter will liaise with the major prize winner regarding the actual date of the Event. The major prize winner will have the opportunity to attend the Event.
If the winner lives in Victoria, they and one companion will receive accommodation and transfers as specified in paragraph 4.
If the winner lives outside Victoria, they and one companion will also receive flights, accommodation and transfers as specified in paragraph 4, valued at up to $3,000, depending on the winner's state/territory of residence.
In the event that the major prize winner is a Commercial Customer, the principal must, within a timeframe specified by the Promoter, nominate an authorised representative who is aged 18 or over to attend the Event on behalf of the Commercial Customer. The principal may (but is not obliged to) nominate themselves as the Commercial Customer’s representative to attend the Event. The Promoter will liaise directly with the relevant representative to arrange attendance at the Event.
For the avoidance of doubt, all references to ‘you’ ‘your’ and ‘winner’ are intended to refer to the Commercial Customer as an entity as well as the Commercial Customer’s principals and/or representatives.
If there are multiple principals of a Commercial Customer and there is any doubt about which of them is the entrant or any disagreement between the principals, the Promoter may determine one of the principals (as specified by the Promoter in its sole discretion) to be the recipient of the relevant prize on behalf of the Commercial Customer.
At the Event, the major prize winner (or the major prize winner’s representative) will be given the chance to choose one (1) envelope from a set of 100 envelopes. One of the envelopes will contain a note saying "You have won $1,000,000" and the remaining envelopes will contain a note saying "You have won a consolation prize of $10,000". If the major prize winner (or the major prize winner’s representative) selects the $1,000,000, they will receive a prize of $1,000,000. If they select a $10,000 envelope they will receive a prize of $10,000. The major prize winner (or the major prize winner’s representative) will have only one chance to select a prize envelope. The Event will be run by an independent representative from VCG Promo Risk, the insurance company underwriting the million dollar prize and their instructions must be followed at all times and their decision is final.
The major prize winner will receive an EFT transfer for the winning amount selected within 28 days of the Event.
If the major prize winner is a Commercial Customer, it will receive the major prize via EFT to the account nominated by the relevant principal/s within 28 days of the Event. Where a principal of a Commercial Customer has nominated a representative to attend the Event, the relevant major prize selected by the representative will be awarded to the principal on behalf of the Commercial Customer, and not to the representative.
Total prize pool
The total instant win prize pool is $5,000.
The total major prize pool is up to $1,003,000 (includes accommodation, flights etc. if applicable).
The overall total prize pool is up to $1,008,000.
How many times can I enter?
You can receive up to a maximum of 100 entries into the major prize draw provided you only enter once per Qualifying Purchase.
Each entry must be submitted separately in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
How and when will the winners be informed?
If you are an instant winner, you will be informed immediately on screen and by email within 2 days.
If you are a Retail Customer and are determined as the major prize winner, you will be informed by phone and by email within two days of the draw and your name and state/territory of residence will be published on the Website on 06/08/2018 for a period of 28 days.
If the major prize winner is a Commercial Customer, the relevant principal/s or representative/s will be informed by phone and by email within two days of the draw and the Commercial Customer’s business name and state/territory of its registered office will be published on the Website on 06/08/2018 for a period of 28 days.
Second Chance Draw
If any instant win prize remains unclaimed at the end of the Competition Period, a second chance draw will be held at 11.30am (AEST) on 03/08/2018 at Immediate (Second Chance Draw).
Each unclaimed instant win prize will be distributed to the next valid entry randomly drawn until all unclaimed instant win prizes are awarded. All entries (excluding previous winning entries) will be combined for the purposes of this draw.
The Promoter may draw additional reserve entries and record them in order, in case a winning entry/entrant is deemed invalid or an instant win prize is unclaimed (Instant Win Reserve Entrants).
If you are a winner in the Second Chance Draw, you will be informed by email within two days of the Second Chance Draw.
Must I keep anything to verify my entry?
You must keep the original itemised Qualifying Purchase receipt(s) (or equivalent proof of payment, such as a remittance advice, for Commercial Customers only) for all entries as proof of purchase. Qualifying Purchase receipt(s) (or equivalent, for Commercial Customers) must be identical to the image uploaded by you with your entry. If you do not produce the proof of purchase for all entries when asked by the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify all of your entries and you will lose any right to a prize. If, in the Promoter's opinion, you have shared any receipts with another person, your entries will be declared invalid and you will lose any right to a prize.
If I win, when must I claim my prize?
You must claim your prize/s (including those awarded in the Second Chance Draw) by 5pm (AEST) on 14/08/2018.
What if I don't claim my prize by 5pm (AEST) on 14/08/2018?
If a prize (including any instant win prize awarded via the Second Chance Draw) has not been accepted or claimed by 5pm (AEST) on 14/08/2018, the relevant entry will be discarded and the Promoter will award the relevant prize/s to Reserve Entrant/s and/or carry out an unclaimed prize draw at 11am (AEST) on 15/08/2018 at the same location as the original draw to distribute the relevant prize/s.
Any such winner/s will be informed by phone and by email within two days of determination and, if you are the major prize winner, your name and state/territory (or the business’ name and state/territory of its registered office in respect of Commercial Customers) will be published on the Website on 16/08/2018 for a period of 28 days.
These Terms and Conditions incorporate and must be read together with the details outlined in the table above. Information about prizes and how to enter forms part of these Terms and Conditions. By entering, you accept these Terms and Conditions.
Entry
Your entry must be received during the Competition Period. Your entry is deemed to be received only when received by the Promoter’s database. If you return a Qualifying Purchase your entry may be deemed invalid at the Promoter's discretion (unless product is defective). The Promoter may check the validity of a Qualifying Purchase at any time by contacting its Reflex Distributors. You will receive a return online message confirming your entry and informing you if you have provisionally won an instant win prize and details of how to claim your prize. The Promoter is not liable for any problems with communication networks. You are responsible for your own costs associated with entering. If you enter using automatically generated entries or multiple aliases you may be disqualified. In the event of multiple representatives entering on behalf of a Commercial Customer based on the same Qualifying Purchase, the Promoter will only accept the first valid entry received on behalf of that Commercial Customer in respect of the relevant Qualifying Purchase and any subsequent entries based on that same Qualifying Purchase will be deemed invalid at the Promoter’s discretion.
Prizes
If a prize winner is a Retail Customer who is under 18 years old on the date the prize is awarded, it will be awarded to the winner’s parent or guardian on the winner’s behalf. By accepting or participating in any prize on behalf of a winner, the winner’s parent or guardian accepts these conditions.
If you are the major prize winner (or the major prize winner’s representative in respect of Commercial Customers) you will have the opportunity for you and one companion of your choosing to attend the Event at a location to be confirmed and on a date to be confirmed between 17/08/2018 and 21/09/2018. If you live in Victoria, you and your companion will receive the following:
1 nights’ accommodation (twin share) in a minimum three star hotel (as determined by the Promoter); and
return transfers between the hotel and the Event, and the Event and the hotel.
If you live in Victoria you and your companion will need to make your own way to and from the hotel.
If you live outside Victoria, you and your companion will receive the following:
return economy airfares (including airfare taxes) from your nearest Australian capital city to Melbourne;
1 nights' accommodation (twin share) in a minimum three star hotel (as determined by the Promoter); and
return transfers between the airport and hotel, and the hotel and the Event.
If provided as part of the major prize, accommodation and flights are subject to booking and availability. Any major prize travel and accommodation must be taken to coincide with the Event. You (and your companion, if relevant) are responsible for all other costs related to the Event, including any meals, transport not otherwise specified, insurance (including excesses), in-room charges and additional taxes. All persons travelling as part of winning the major prize, must depart and return at the same time. The major prize trip and Event is subject to any additional conditions of the prize supplier/s including any conditions of travel and conditions of attending the Event (including behaviour requirements and applicable dress codes). Costs for changes made by you (or your companion, if relevant) to the major prize trip after it has been booked must be paid by you and your companion as applicable. A companion can only be aged under 18 years old at the date of departure if the major prize winner (or major prize winner’s representative for Commercial Customers) is their parent or guardian and their parent or guardian must accompany them at all times whilst taking part in the major prize trip and Event, as applicable. You may be required to present your credit card when checking in to the accommodation, if relevant.
The VISA gift cards can be used anywhere in Australia where VISA gift cards are accepted. The VISA gift cards are subject to the prize supplier's conditions, including validity periods.
If you are a Retail Customer and are the major winner but you are unable to attend the Event as specified, you may nominate a proxy to attend on your behalf. You must nominate a suitable proxy within 48 hours of being notified that you are a winner.
If you are a Retail Customer that nominates a proxy or if you are a Commercial Customer that nominates a representative, you accept all decisions made by the proxy/ representative. For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, all references to a winner will also be deemed to apply to that winner's proxy/representative, if relevant. The proxy/representative must:
be aged 18 years or over and able to attend the Event on the specified date;
be a resident of either Victoria or the same state/territory as you (if this is outside Victoria). If the proxy/representative resides outside Victoria in the same state/territory as you, they will receive flights, accommodation and transfers in order to attend the Event, in accordance with paragraph 4;
accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and any additional conditions provided by the Promoter or prize supplier/s and must sign any document the Promoter requires for this purpose; and
accept that they will not receive any cash prizes on behalf of the relevant prize winner.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility if the Event is abandoned, called off or postponed for any reason and you will not be given any cash as a substitute for attending the Event. In this case, the Promoter will reschedule the Event.
General
If you are a winner (or a winner’s representative for Commercial Customers), you must take part in all publicity, photography and other promotional activity as the Promoter requires, without any compensation. You consent to the Promoter using your name and image in any promotional or advertising activity.
Those participating in the Event must follow the Promoter’s instructions and full event rules (which will be provided to the participants before or upon arrival at the relevant Event location, including wearing any promotional items as required by the Promoter). Participants must not engage in unsportsmanlike conduct or act in any manner which the Promoter considers reckless or inappropriate. Participants must not consume any alcohol at the Event, before or after competing, and must not use any performance enhancing device or drug. The Promoter may disqualify any participant who fails to comply with the Promoter’s instructions, the event rules or these Terms and Conditions.
You must, if required by the Promoter, sign disclaimer and release forms provided by the Promoter in favour of the Promoter and other parties before taking the prize. If you do not sign, your entry may be deemed invalid and you will lose any entitlement to a prize.
If you or your entry are deemed by the Promoter to breach these Terms and Conditions, including if you are unable to attend the Event on dates specified by the Promoter, your entry (or at the Promoter's discretion, all of your entries) may be discarded. The Promoter may, at any time, require you to produce documentation to establish to the Promoter's satisfaction the validity of your entries (including documentation establishing your identity, age, place of residence, place of employment and, in respect of Commercial Customers, proof of employment with the relevant Commercial Customer for the entirety of the Competition). Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not waive those rights.
You must not:
tamper with the entry process;
engage in any conduct that may jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Competition;
act in a disruptive, annoying, threatening, abusive or harassing manner;
do anything that may diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter or any of its related entities or of the agencies or companies associated with this Competition;
breach any law; or
behave in a way that is otherwise inappropriate.
If you, in the opinion of the Promoter (and/or a medical professional, as required), are intoxicated, under the influence of alcohol or any other drug, behave aggressively or offensively, or behave in a manner which may diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter or any of its related entities or the agencies or companies associated with this Competition, is contrary to law or is otherwise inappropriate, the Promoter may cancel the prize or restrict you from participating in any elements of the prize, at its discretion.
The Promoter is not liable for entries, prize claims or correspondence that are misplaced, misdirected, delayed, lost, incomplete, illegible or incorrectly submitted.
The Promoter’s decision in connection with all aspects of this Competition is final.
Prizes cannot be transferred or exchanged and, except in respect of the major prize, cannot be redeemed for cash. Without limiting any other term of these Terms and Conditions, all prizes must be taken as and when specified, or will be forfeited with no replacement. The prize values are correct as at the date of preparing these Terms and Conditions and include any applicable GST. The Promoter is not responsible for any change in prize value. You agree that if a prize is unavailable for any reason the Promoter may provide another item of equal or higher value, subject to any necessary approval by the state/territory gaming authorities.
By entering, you request that your full address not be published.
Printing and other quality control errors outside the Promoter’s control will not invalidate an otherwise valid instant win prize claim. Every instant win prize claim in excess of the advertised instant win prize pool will be honoured, unless the claim is rejected due to fraud or ineligibility under these Terms and Conditions.
If this Competition cannot run as planned for any reason beyond the Promoter's control, for example due to software, hardware or communications issues, unauthorised intervention, tampering, fraud or technical failure, the Promoter may end, change, suspend or cancel the Competition or disqualify affected entries/entrants, subject to any necessary approval by the state/territory gaming authorities.
The Promoter is not responsible for any tax implications arising from you winning a prize. You should seek independent financial advice. If for GST purposes this Competition results in any supply being made for non-monetary consideration, you must follow the Australian Taxation Office’s stated view that where the parties are at arm’s length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values.
Liability
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions restricts, excludes or modifies any consumer rights under any statute including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
Subject to the previous paragraph, the Promoter and the agencies and companies associated with this Competition are not liable (including in negligence) for any loss (including indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury, illness or death suffered in connection with this Competition or any prize, except for any liability which under statute cannot be excluded (in which case that liability is limited to the greatest extent allowed by law).
Without limiting the previous paragraph, the Promoter and the agencies and companies associated with this Competition are not liable for any loss of, damage to or delay in delivery of prizes. Prizes will only be delivered to addresses in Australia.
The Promoter may communicate or advertise this Competition using Facebook or Instagram. However, the Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Instagram. You provide your information to the Promoter and not to Facebook or Instagram. You completely release Facebook and Instagram from any and all liability.
Collection and use of your personal information
The Promoter may collect your personal information directly or through its agents or contractors. The Promoter will use your personal information to conduct the Competition. The Promoter may disclose your personal information to its related companies, agents and contractors to assist in conducting this Competition, communicating with you or storing data. This may include disclosures to organisations outside Australia including in places such as Australia, New Zealand, and Japan . If you have marked the opt-in box on the online entry form, you consent to the Promoter keeping your personal information on its database to use for future marketing purposes, including contacting you by electronic messaging.
