Entrants and any companions (if applicable) must be: 18 years of age or over.
Entrants may submit as many entries as they wish however each entry must be submitted via a separate entry and must independently comply with these Competition Terms of Entry.
For the avoidance of doubt, unless otherwise expressly stated, entrants may only win one (1) prize each in the Promotion.
During the Promotion Period entrants must visit the Station Website and fully complete the online entry form in the manner required, including by:
(a) providing their contact details including but not limited to full name, contact telephone number, current and valid email address and any other information requested by the Promoter (in its sole and absolute discretion); and
(b) answering the following question in 25 words or less: ‘Which team are you getting behind for the 2018 FIFA World Cup and why?’ (Answer).
Each entry will be individually reviewed by representatives of the Promoter (Judges) based on the Judging Criteria.
At various times during the Promotion Period the Judges (in their sole and absolute discretion) will:
(c) selectuptoten(10)entrant/sjudgedtohavesubmittedthe“best”entries(basedonthe Judging Criteria, in the Promoter’s sole and absolute discretion) from all valid entries submitted by 2pm (AEST) at various times during the Promotion Period (each, a Selected Entrant);
(d) contact up to ten (10) of the Selected Entrant/s (in the sole and absolute discretion of the Promoter) by telephone to discuss their Answer and assess their suitability for radio (based on the Judging Criteria, in the Promoter’s sole and absolute discretion); and
(e) Inviteuptoten(10)ofthe“best”SelectedEntrantsfromthatweekday(basedontheJudging Criteria, in the Promoter’s sole and absolute discretion) to participate in the On Air Challenge
between 4.pm (AEST) and 6pm (AEST) at various times during the Promotion Period (On Air Challenge) (each, a Challenger).
On Air Challenge
At various times during the Promotion Period:
(a) the Promoter will have a predetermined category of questions for each On Air Challenge.
(b) two (2) Challengers judged to be the “best” Selected Entrants from that weekday (based on the Judging Criteria, in the Promoter’s sole and absolute discretion) will be selected to appear on air.
(c) thePromoterwillaskthefirstChallenger(beingtheChallengerdeemedtobethe‘best’ Challenger from that weekday based on the Judging Criteria, in the Promoter’s sole and absolute discretion) a question. If the Challenger answers correctly the Promoter will ask the second Challenger a question. This process will be repeated until a Challenger gets a question incorrect (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion).
(d) IfaChallengergetsananswerincorrecttheywillnotbedeemedawinnerandwillnotbe awarded a Prize, and the Challenger’s opponent will be deemed a winner and will be awarded a Prize.
(e) ThePromotermay(initssoleandabsolutediscretion)providecluesandhintstoentrants during a contesting spot however the Promoter is under no obligation to do so.
Entrants may only submit guesses on-air as specified in the Entry Method. Guesses submitted in any other way will be deemed invalid, as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion.
If for any reason an entrant is unable to be contacted, or is otherwise unable to, or declines to, appear on air, or their phone line drops out or is inaudible, the Promoter (in its sole and absolute discretion) may replace that entrant by contacting another entrant and inviting them to appear on air or participate in an on-air game or challenge (where applicable). The Promoter will repeat this process until an entrant is able to be contacted and confirms their eligibility and ability to appear on air or participate in the relevant on-air game or challenge (where applicable).
For the avoidance of doubt, if an entrant is spoken to by a representative of the Promoter, it does not mean they have been selected as an entrant or a winner (where applicable) and they may not be invited to appear on air or participate in the relevant on-air game or challenge or be awarded a Prize (where applicable).
For the avoidance of doubt, entrants must appear on air during the Promotion Period to be deemed a winner and awarded a Prize.
All valid entries will be individually judged by representatives of the Promoter (in the Promoter’s sole and absolute discretion) by 4pm AEST Friday 22 June 2018 at the Promoter’s premises. All valid entries will be judged based on the Judging Criteria.
All valid entries will be judged (by representatives of the Promoter) on originality, creativity and suitability or as otherwise specified by the Promoter (in the Promoter’s sole and absolute discretion). Where entrants are required to participate in a challenge or on air game, the Promoter may specify the relevant judging criteria prior to or at the time of the challenge or on air game.
There are up to five (5) prizes to be won, each comprising of:
1 x Optus Sport World Cup Survival Pack, including 1 x subscription to Optus Sport for the
duration of the 2018 FIFA World CupTM, an official Socceroos jersey, an Optus blanket, an Optus beanie, a can of Red Bull and an Optus stress ball.
