1. Information on how to enter and prize details form part of these terms and conditions. By
entering this promotion you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
2. This promotion is being run by Telstra Corporation Limited (ABN 33 051 775 556) of 400
George Street, Sydney NSW 2000 ("we", “us” or “our”).
3. The promotion starts at 9am AEST on 1 May 2018. Entries close and must be received by
5pm AEST on 2 July 2018 ("promotion period").
Who can enter?
4. Entry is open to all Australian residents who are over the age of 18 and are Telstra
customers. Employees or contractors of the promoter and other companies associated with
the promotion and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
How do you enter?
5. To enter, you must, during the promotion period:
a) Visit telstra.com/music
b) Answer the following question in 25 words or less, “how winning the VIP Katy Perry
experience and a year of free live music would make you feel” and
c) Complete the entry form in full and submit (“eligible entry”).
6. Multiple entries permitted, subject to the following:
a) each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with the entry
requirements.
7. By entering the promotion, you:
a) warrant that your entry is your own original work and does not infringe
c) to the extent permitted by law, consent to us (and our related bodies corporate,
agents, licensees and assigns) infringing your moral rights in your entry for an
indefinite period of time and waive all moral rights in your entry that arise outside
Australia,
8. Entries that are incomplete, incorrect or illegible will be deemed invalid.
Prizes and Judging
9. This is a game of skill only. There is no element of chance in determining the winners.
10. There is one major prize to be won, and a total of nine minor prizes across the Katy Perry
WITNESS: The Tour, locations – Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide & Perth.
The major prize is valued at $8,256.50 consisting of:
a) Katy Perry VIP Party Experience – valued at $3,776.90 includes:
i. Two reserved seats in the VIP floor section closest to the stage
ii. VIP entry to the exclusive ‘WITNESS’ pre-show PARTY lounge
iii. VIP merchandise collection – designed exclusively for VIPs
iv. Show day VIP amenities
v. Meet and greet opportunity with Katy Perry
vi. Flights and accommodation to Sydney from the winners nearest capital
city (will be forfeited if major prize winner lives within a reasonable
travel distance to the Sydney show)
b) Live Music tickets for a year – based on an average ticket price, the value is
approx $4,479.60 includes
i. Two (2) tickets to a choice of 10 other music, comedy or sports tours
associated to Telstra or Telstra Thanks excluding any tours where the
promoter is Live Nation, that take place from the 16 August 2018 and
before 16 August 2019;
The minor prizes are valued at $13,292 consist of:
i. Two reserved seats in the VIP floor section closest to the stage
ii. VIP entry to the exclusive ‘WITNESS’ pre-show PARTY lounge
iii. VIP merchandise collection – designed exclusively for VIPs
iv. Show day VIP amenities
v. Meet and greet opportunity with Katy Perry
The number of the minor prizes across the tour locations are:
i. Melbourne - 2
ii. Sydney - 1
iii. Perth - 2
iv. Brisbane - 2
v. Adelaide – 2
11. The total prize pool value is $21,548.50.
12. Judging of all eligible entries will take place on Tuesday 3 July 2018, Level 14, 400 George St,
Sydney NSW 2000. Our decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
13. The prizes will be awarded to the eligible entrants judged to have the most creative entries.

15. Winners will be notified by telephone and/or in writing within 2 working days of judging. The
winners’ names will be published on telstra.com/music on 6 July 2018.
16. If a prize remains unclaimed 2 weeks before the event date of the Katy Perry tour in each
capital city, an unclaimed prize draw will take place at the same time and place as the
original draw, subject to any directions from State and Territory regulatory authorities.
Winners will be notified by telephone and/or in writing within 2 days of the unclaimed prize
draw.
Prize Conditions
17. All prizes are subject to standard ticket terms and conditions and are subject to change. The
terms and conditions which apply for the use of the tickets at the time they are issued to the
winners will prevail over these terms and conditions to the extent of any inconsistency.
18. You are only eligible to win one prize. We reserve the right to withdraw a prize at our
discretion or if there are no eligible entrants to receive that prize.
19. By accepting a prize, you agree to participate in and co-operate as required with all
reasonable marketing activities relating to the prize including but not limited to being
interviewed and photographed. We reserve the right to use your comments, image and
name for advertising and publicity purposes in any media in perpetuity without
compensation.
20. A prize, or any unused portion of a prize, cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for
cash. All other expenses associated with the prizes are the responsibility of the winners.
21. Winners are expected to act in a reasonable manner at each of the prize locations and
following the venues regulations.
22. The minor prizes are only valid for the specified dates – subject to changes by
artist management. The dates and locations are set out below:
i. Perth - Tuesday 24 July 2018 at Perth Arena
ii. Adelaide - Monday 30 July 2018 at Adelaide Entertainment Centre
iii. Melbourne - Friday 3 August 2018 at Rod Laver Arena
iv. Brisbane - Wednesday 8 August 2018 at Brisbane Entertainment Centre
v. Sydney - Tuesday 14 August 2018 at Qudos Bank Arena
23. Any costs associated with or in connection to the event, except for the major prize of this
competition, will not be covered by Telstra.
23. Flights, accommodation, ground transfers or any other travel costs are not included in the
minor prizes and will not be covered by Telstra.
24. Major prize conditions consist of the choice of ten events, valid from the 16 August 2018 to 16
August 2019 with a maximum of two tickets available per tour. Only tours associated to Telstra or
Telstra Thanks, excluding tours where the promoter is Live Nation, are available for selection and
can consist of tickets across music, comedy and sport genres. Flights, accommodation, ground
transfers are only included for the Katy Perry VIP experience and not applicable for the Live Music
ticket prize component.
General
25. We reserve the right, at any time, and in its sole discretion to (a) request entrants to provide
proof of identity and/or proof of valid entry (b) disqualify any entrant who we have reason to
believe has breached any of these conditions or engaged in any unlawful or other improper
conduct or any conduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion.
26. Entries are accepted at the time of receipt by us. We will not be held liable for any entries not
received for any reason during the promotion period.
27. We are not liable for any prize that may be lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with in
any way after it leaves our possession.
28. We are not responsible for any variation in the value of a prize.
28. If we are unable to provide a winner with a prize (or part of a prize), we will supply an
alternative prize (or that part of the prize) of greater or equal monetary value and/or
specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
29. If for any reason, we are not able to conduct the promotion as planned, including due to
tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, any technical difficulties or any other causes
beyond our control (such as tour cancellations or rescheduling), which corrupt or affect the
administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, or ability to
deliver the prizes as they are described within the document, we reserve the right in our sole
discretion to take any action that may be available, subject to State and Territory regulations
including cancelling this promotion in its entirety.
30. We exclude all warranties in relation to the quality, suitability or merchantability of a prize,
except those that cannot be excluded by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any liability
of the Promoter or its employees or agents for breach of any rights a consumer may have which
are unable to be excluded under Australian Law, is limited to the payment of the costs of having
the prize supplied again.
31. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss (including indirect and
consequential loss) or damage or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the
promotion including the supply of goods or services by any person to the prize winners, and
where applicable to any persons accompanying the prize winners. We accept no responsibility
for any tax liabilities that may arise from winning the prize.
32. The prize must be taken on the date specified and are subject to booking availability.
Blackout periods may occur. If the winner chooses not to take the prize or any component of it
(or is unable to), they forfeit the prize and we are not obliged to substitute the prize or any
component.
33. Where a prize includes a ticket, ticket allocation is at the Promoter’s sole discretion. Tickets
are not, without the prior written consent of Promoter, transferable, to be re-sold or offered for
resale or used for advertising, charity fundraising, promotion or other commercial purposes
(including but not limited to competitions and trade promotions).
Privacy
34. By entering this promotion, you agree that we may use the personal information we collect
from you:
a) to conduct this promotion, including determining and notifying the winners,
disclosing that information to prize suppliers and State and Territory regulatory
authorities; and
b) for future marketing purposes in any media, including contacting you after this
promotion ends,
