Win a high tea experience for you and five friends

The QVB has been the key to shaping Sydney since 1898. To celebrate our 120 year anniversary, we have created the QVB Memory Lock – a three dimensional, 5 metre high laser cut keyhole designed to encapsulate the memories made in the building over its long history as a cultural focal point of our city.

Designed in partnership with James Dive and Scoundrel Projects, the QVB Memory Lock is inspired by the ‘Love Locks’ of the Pont Des Arts (pedestrian footbridge over the River Seine, Paris), encouraging customers to share their favourite memory of the building.

Hanging above, you’ll see a 4.8 metre replica of the QVB key – an ode to the intricately inscribed golden key that was used to open the building by the Mayoress of Sydney, Francis Harris.

The key is a symbol to unlocking magical moments, the lock is the symbol for cherishing them forever.

Inside the QVB Memory Lock, you can share and immortalise your most treasured QVB memory by placing a numbered padlock anywhere on the installation.

How the QVB Memory Lock works:

Collect your lock from inside the QVB Memory Lock

Share your favourite memory of the QVB on the attached tag

Personalise or decorate your lock

Place lock onto the installation and immortalise your memory forever

Post a photo to Instagram using #QVB120 to enter the draw

Everyone who takes part and shares their memory on Instagram with #QVB120 will go in the draw to win a high tea experience for them and five friends.
