Win the Ultimate Adventure – A Flight in a P40 Kittyhawk



We’re very excited about Warbirds Downunder coming back to Temora; and we want to celebrate it. We’d like to invite you to participate in our Facebook competition helping us collect more veteran stories supporting our Unsung Heroes and go into a draw for the chance to win several amazing prizes we’ve prepared for you.  Some of the prizes include: Warbirds Downunder 2018 Gold Tickets, event’s accommodation and your own P-40 Kittyhawk flight provided by Classic Air Adventure Flights.
How to Enter

Please follow the simple steps below:

    Use your phone camera (or other camera of choice) to record a short video (maximum of 1 min) of your family member who has made a contribution to the Australia’s military aviation heritage. Here are some examples of the questions to help you with this task:
    OPTION 1 – Sharing a family member’s story
    • Hello, what’s your name?
    • Please tell us who your story is about (name, rank, and relationship to you)
    • Do you recall when and where she or he served?
    • Are you aware of what type of aircraft she or he flew or worked on?
    • Please tell us the brief story or memory you’d like to share about [name]?
    • What about [name’s] story is outstanding to you, that you’d like to pass on to future generations?
    OPTION 2 – Sharing a personal story by those who have or are serving
    • Hello, what’s your name and rank?
    • Where and when did you serve?
    • What type of aircraft did you fly or work on?
    • Please share a brief story or memory you have about your experiences.

Competition Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter name: Temora Aviation Museum Incorporated of 1 Tom Moon Ave, Temora NSW 2666.
2. Employees of Temora Aviation Museum Incorporated or their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the competition or helping to set up the competition shall not be permitted to enter the competition.
3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
4. Opening date for entry is 2 July 2018 and closing date for entry will be 3 September 2018 23.00 EST. After this date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
5. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
6. To enter the competition, participants must meet the following conditions: a minimum of one (1) submitted family veterans’ story video under 1-min (60 seconds) long, posted in the comments under the competition’s post or send directly to the Facebook Page via Messenger.
7. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
8. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
9. No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
10. Winners will be chosen: by a chance of luck, via a draw run upon the completion of the Facebook competition; the announcement to the winner will be made via direct contact with the winner.
11. The winner will be notified by Facebook Messenger within 48 hours of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
12. If a prize is not claimed by the Prize Claim Date & Time, the winner forfeits the prize. In this case, the Promoter will award the prize in accordance with the Unclaimed Prize Arrangements below. Unclaimed Prize Arrangements. If a prize is not claimed by the Prize Claim Date & Time or if an entrant or entry is deemed invalid in accordance with the Conditions of Entry the Promoter will award the relevant prize to another valid entrant in accordance with the method outlined in the Entry Procedure/Judging Details, or to another valid entrant who subsequently enters this Promotion or another Promotion conducted by the Promoter.
13. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
14. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
15. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Australian law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
16. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name, image and the videos in any publicity material. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current Australian data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
17. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
18. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or any other Social Network. You are providing your information to Temora Aviation Museum Incorporated and not to any other party.
P-40 Kittyhawk Adventure Flight Terms & Conditions

This flight will be conducted by Classic Air Adventure Flights.
Military aircraft are built and tested to different standards than that put forward by CASA or any equivalent international civil aviation governing body. As such, in accordance with Civil Aviation Safety Regulation Parts 132.140, 150 and 132.155;
The design, manufacture and airworthiness of the aircraft are not required to meet any standard recognized by CASA; and
CASA does not require the aircraft to be operated to the same degree of safety as an aircraft used for regular public transport or charter operations; and
The passenger agrees to participate in this flight at his or her own risk; and
If it is reasonable to believe that a passenger cannot understand the safety briefing; said passenger must be accompanied on the flight by a parent, guardian, or carer; and
A more detailed briefing will be provided to the passenger before they board the aircraft:
If the person making the booking for this flight is not the passenger, note that the operator of the flight is required to provide the passenger with a detailed briefing – to include the information contained herein – prior to the passenger boarding the aircraft.
Passengers must be aged 18 years or older and weight and height restrictions also apply, any passenger weighing over 120kgs and with a height above 6’4” may not be able to be a passenger due the aircraft restrictive cockpit configuration. In this circumstance the adventure flight can be gifted to someone else provided that they acknowledge the above conditions and are aged 18 years and over.
