Qualified film fanatics, are you ready to immerse yourself in the world of cinema? Queensland’s long-running and much-loved Brisbane International Film Festival (BIFF) is back and it’s set to bring a huge roster of inspiring entertainment to its new home at QAGOMA.
Held across 11 action-packed days, the festival will play host to some seriously exciting premieres and special events. Catch the Australian premieres of award-winning Korean auteur Hong Sang-soo’s Hotel by the River and the legendary Lars Von Trier’s The House That Jack Built as well as the Queensland premiere of Leave No Trace by Oscar-nominated American director Debra Granik. With curated programs celebrating trends from Iran, Asia and Africa, as well as retro revivals and hard-hitting documentaries, there’s something to suit even the most discerning movie buff.
