Tails will be wagging when the Pet Industry Association of Australia (PIAA) bring their annual AUSPET 2018 expo back to the Gold Coast – and we’re giving away 10 x family passes so that you can go along, too!
From October 20 to 21, the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre will be transformed into an oasis for animal lovers of all kinds, with plenty of cats, dogs, fish, reptiles, guinea pigs, miniature goats and so much more to touch, pat and cuddle.
With grooming competitions and workshops, reptile introductions, pet first aid classes and even a demonstration on how to set up the perfect fish tank, there’s something for every animal lover to enjoy. And, for those who are looking to add another furry, scaly or fluffy family member to their clan, there will even be opportunities to adopt a new pet over the weekend.
Don’t miss the dog agility shows, police dogs, snake and reptile shows, or the free face painting, free jumping castle and free pony rides that the kids will go totally wild for. You can even meet Channel Nine’s Shelley Craft – best known for The Block and The Great Outdoors – on Sunday!
While this isn’t the first time the PIAA’s premier pet trade show and expo has hit the Gold Coast’s shores, it’s the first year that the program will be open to the public, and PIAA CEO. Mark Fraser couldn’t be more excited.
“The PIAA are advocates and a voice for responsible pet ownership and we are thrilled we can bring a huge program of shows, demonstrations and activities that is sure to delight the whole community,” says Mark. “Being able to pat, touch and learn about our animal friends will be a huge drawcard, and we are thrilled to be giving visitors the opportunity to meet experts in their fields and learn more about life with pets, no matter their shape, size or species.”
