YOU could see ballerinas pirouette across the stage of London's Royal Opera House - all without leaving the country.

Don Quixote will be screened from London to 20 Event Cinemas and seven Village Cinemas nationally on April 7 and 10 as part of the Royal Opera House's Live Cinema Season.

Carlos Acosta’s version of Marius Petipa’s Don Quixote, showcases his world renowned choreography danced by Australia’s Alexander Campbell and Akane Takada.

Inspired by Cervantes’s classic novel, the ballet tells the story of the idealistic and eccentric knight Don Quixote and his adventures with the young lovers Basilio and Kitri.

During 2018/19, the Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden will exclusively present ten thrilling performances of world-class opera and ballet to cinemas across Australia.

This forms part of the Royal Opera House’s celebrations of ten years of cinema broadcasting in 2018 and of selling more than one million cinema tickets worldwide during the 2017/18 Season.

Participating Event Cinemas include Campbelltown, Castle Hill, Cronulla, Beverly Hills, Bondi Junction, Burwood, Macquarie, Indooroopilly, Kotara, Pacific Fair, Cairns Earlville, Coolangatta, Noosa, Maroochydore, Toowoomba Strand, Marion, Glenelg, Capitol Manuka, Innaloo and Palmerston.

Participating Village Cinemas include Knox, Geelong, Karingal, Albury, Rivoli, Eastlands and Launceston.

We have one family pass (four tickets) and one double pass (two tickets) to give away.

For your chance to win, tell us in 25 words or less your favourite ballet and why.

Entries close 11.59pm, March 24, 2019.
