IT’s dark, it’s sultry and it’s all that jazz.
CHICAGO is coming to QPAC’s Lyric Theatre next month with an all-star cast including Natalie Bassingthwaite (Roxy), Alinta Chidzey (Velma), Casey Donovan (Mama) and Tom Burlinson (Billy Flynn).
The multi-award winning musical CHICAGO will razzle dazzle Brisbane audiences from November 2.
Set amid the razzle-dazzle decadence of the 1920s, CHICAGO is the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. Desperate to avoid conviction, she dupes the public, the media and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago’s slickest criminal lawyer Billy Flynn to transform her malicious crime into a barrage of sensational headlines.
“CHICAGO has everything that people love about Broadway, a story of fame, fortune and all that jazz, one showstopping number after another and the most amazing dancing you’ve ever seen as well as the most sizzling score” producer John Frost said.
Quest Community News has 16 double passes for the November 2 show to giveaway to some lucky readers, valued at $259.80 each. The competition closes on October 27.
