Promotion period
1.
The Harvey Norman VIP promotion (“Promotion”) will be held at Treasury,
commencing at 4pm on Wednesday 11 August 2010 and finishing at the
conclusion of the 8pm prize draw on Wednesday 1 September 2010(“Promotion Period”). All times are listed in Australian Eastern Standard
Time.
2. Four (4) prize draws will be held in The Club at Level 2 at Treasury (“Draw
Location”) during the Promotion Period. Prize Draws will be held on
Wednesday 11, 18, 25 August and 1 September 2010 (each a “Draw Day”).
3. One (1) prize draws will be held on each Draw Day at 8pm (each a “Prize
Draw”).
Entry requirements
4. Participation in the Promotion is open to all persons who:
(a) are 18 years of age or older;
(b) are members of the Casino Rewards program operated by the
Promoter and who have a current Gold, The Club or Platinum Casino
Rewards membership card (“Membership Card”); and
(c) are not the subject of an exclusion direction or self exclusion order
pursuant to the Casino Control Act 1982 (Qld).
People who meet the above conditions and continue to satisfy the conditions
during the Promotion Period are referred to as “Eligible Entrants” and will be
entitled to enter the Promotion.
5. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse any person entry in the Promotion.
Earning entries in a Prize Draw
6. To generate an entry (“Entry”) in a Prize Draw on a Draw Day, an Eligible
Entrant must swipe his or her current Membership Card through one of the
kiosks (each a “Kiosk”) at the Draw Location between 4pm and 7.55pm each
Draw Day to enter the 8pm that Draw Day during the Promotion Period (each
an “Entry Period”).
7. Eligible Entrants who validly enter a Prize Draw during the Entry Periods
listed in Condition 6 will receive an entry ticket (“Ticket”) from the Kiosk and
will be required to place this Ticket into the entry barrel (“Barrel”) located at
the Draw Location one (1) minute prior to the commencement of the relevant
Prize Draw.
8. Eligible Entrants are eligible to earn a maximum of one (1) Entry per Draw
Day.
9. Entries generated according to these Conditions of Entry will be included in
the relevant Prize Draw after having being placed in the Barrel Tickets will be
cleared at the conclusion of the 8pm Prize Draw each Draw Day.
Prize Draws
10. At each Prize Draw, the name and membership number of the Eligible
Entrant with the first valid Ticket randomly drawn from the Barrel (“Drawn
Entrant”) will be announced at the Draw Location. Drawn Entrants must be
“present at the Prize Draw” for a chance to win.
11. To be deemed “present at the Prize Draw”, the Drawn Entrant must present
themselves to a Treasury representative at the Draw Location, Platinum Suite
Bar or VIP Services Desk within three (3) minutes of their name being
announced and provide suitable identification in accordance with Conditions
19 or 20 within five (5) minutes of presenting themselves. Drawn Entrants are
not permitted to send a proxy to claim a Prize.
12. Excluding the 8pm Prize Draw on the 1st September, if a Drawn Entrant at a
Prize Draw does not satisfy Condition 11 or does not otherwise satisfy these
Conditions of Entry, a re-draw will take place immediately at the Draw
Location. The Promoter will conduct up to four (4) re-draws if required.
Eligible Entrants drawn at a re-draw must be “present at the Prize Draw” (in
accordance with Condition 11) to be eligible to win (“Redraw Entrant”).
13. If a Redraw Entrant is not found after the re-draws in accordance with
Condition 12, the Prize Draw will be declared closed and the Prize available
will jackpot to the following Prize Draw (except the 8pm Prize Draw on 1st
September). For example, if a Drawn Entrant is not present at the 8pm Prize
Draw on 11 August to claim a Prize, the Prize at the 8pm Prize Draw on 18
August will be a $10,000 Harvey Norman Gift Card plus a $10,000 Harvey
Norman Gift Card from the previous Prize Draw. The Drawn Entrant or
Redraw Entrant at the next Prize Draw on that Draw Day who satisfy these
Conditions of Entry will win the base prize amount for that Prize Draw plus
any jackpot amounts which may have attached to that Prize in accordance
with this Condition.
14. If at the 8pm Prize Draw on the 1st of September, the Drawn Entrant does not
satisfy Condition 11 or does not otherwise satisfy these Conditions of Entry,
a re-draw will take place immediately at the Draw Location. The Promoter will
conduct up to four (4) redraws if required. Each Eligible Entrant drawn in a redraw
under this Condition 14 will have three (3) minutes to present at the
Draw Location and confirm their identity within five (5) minutes of presenting
themselves in accordance with Conditions 18 or 19 in order to claim a Prize.
Eligible Entrants are not permitted to send a proxy to claim a Prize. If after
four (4) redraws in this manner an Eligible Entrant who satisfies Condition 11
and this Condition 14 cannot be located to claim the Prize, the Prize will be
awarded to the Eligible Entrant drawn first at the 8pm Prize Draw on the 1st of
September and that Eligible Entrant will not be required to satisfy Condition
11. The Eligible Entrant so selected will be notified of their win by phone or
mail in accordance with their membership details held by the Promoter. The
Eligible Entrant will be required to collect their Prizes from the VIP Services
Desk on level 2 at Treasury and provide identification in accordance with this
Condition 14 and Conditions 18 or 19 at the time of collection.
15. Drawn Entrants or Redraw Entrant who satisfy Condition 11 and Eligible
Entrants who satisfies Condition 11 and Condition 14 will be eligible to win
a Prize (“Winner”). The Ticket belonging to a winner will not be placed back
into the Barrel to be included in subsequent Prize Draws.
Prizes
16. The Winners of each Prize Draw, subject to compliance with these Conditions
of Entry, win a $10,000 Harvey Norman Gift Card (“Prize”).
17. The total prize pool for this Promotion is $40,000.
Identification
18. A Drawn Entrant, Redraw Entrant or an Eligible Entrant drawn at a re-draw in
Condition 12 (if any), must produce valid identification acceptable to the
Promoter in order to receive a Prize. Valid identification acceptable to the
Promoter will be either one form of valid photographic identification (passport
or Australian driver's licence) with a clearly visible and undamaged
photograph or two other forms of non-photographic identification acceptable
to the Promoter.
19. The Promoter reserves the right to waive or vary the identification
requirements in circumstances where the identity of an Drawn Entrant,
Redraw Entrant or an Eligible Entrant drawn at a re-draw in Condition 12 is
ascertainable by the Promoter at its discretion without the assistance of these
or any other form of identification.
General
20. Directors, management and employees of the Tabcorp Group of companies
(including any related body corporate as defined in the Corporations Act
2001) or of any suppliers or agencies associated with this Promotion and their
immediate families are not eligible to participate in this Promotion. “Immediate
family” has the same meaning given to that phrase in the Charitable and Non-
Profit Gaming Rule 1999 (Qld). The Tabcorp Group comprises, but is not
limited to, the businesses of Star City Casino, Jupiters Hotel and Casino,
Treasury Casino and Hotel, Jupiters Townsville, Tabaret, and Jupiters Keno.
21. Prizes in the Promotion must be taken as stated and cannot be exchanged or
redeemed for alternate prizes. Any tax liability or implication which attaches
to a Prize is the responsibility of the Winner or Eligible Entrant claiming that
Prize.
22. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or change the Promotion or the
Prize offered in the Promotion at any time in its sole and absolute discretion.
23. The Promoter reserves the right to disregard all Entries of, and disqualify, any
person the Promoter determines has tampered with the entry mechanisms or
processes of the Promotion in any way, including by way of an Entry that in
the Promoter's opinion is determined to be fraudulent.
24. The Promoter does not guarantee the continuous or fault-free operation of the
entry or draw processes, including entry validating and Ticket distribution
processes, during the Promotion. In the event of any technical difficulties with
the Kiosks, the Promoter reserves the right to adopt a manual process of
generating Entries and providing Tickets. If a manual process is adopted,
Members may visit the VIP Services Desk on level 2 at Treasury to have a
representative of the Promoter check their entitlement to an Entry and, where
such entitlement is confirmed, provide the Eligible Entrant with a Ticket(s).
25. The Promoter is not responsible for any loss, damage or injury suffered or
claimed (including, but not limited to, indirect or consequential loss or
damage, personal injury or death, and direct or indirect loss or damage due to
negligence or technical or mechanical malfunction) by an entrant in relation to
entering or participating in this Promotion or the taking or using of Prizes
offered or taken (except that which cannot be excluded by law). Entrants
indemnify the Promoter against any such loss, damage or injury.
26. Conduct of the entire Promotion, including decisions on the eligibility of
persons to enter, shall be the responsibility of and at the discretion of the
Promoter. Continuation of the Promotion is at the Promoter’s discretion.
27. To the extent that a situation or issue arises for which these terms and
conditions make no provision or in relation to which the relevant terms and
conditions are unclear, the Promoter reserves the right to make a decision
regarding such situation or issue in its sole and absolute discretion.
28. Winners may be asked to participate in publicity or advertising at the request
of the Promoter. Participation in any such publicity or advertising is at the sole
discretion of the relevant Winner. The names of Winners will not be published
without their consent except in accordance with these Conditions of Entry,
and entry into this Promotion constitutes consent to publication in accordance
with these terms.
29. The Promoter cannot guarantee that announcements can be heard in all parts
of the Draw Location or throughout the remainder of Treasury.
30. The information recorded on Tickets, entry forms or computer systems at
Treasury is collected by the Promoter for business analysis and promotional
purposes. If an entrant does not provide the information requested then the
Promoter may deem the entry invalid. Privacy law allows entrants to access
the personal information that the Promoter holds about them, in certain

31. A copy of these Conditions of Entry governing the Promotion will be available
at the VIP Services Desk, level 2 throughout the Promotion Period.
Participation in the Promotion indicates acceptance of these Conditions of
Entry governing the Promotion.
